Just our luck this season, we explode for 8 runs but it comes on a day when we trotted out the ghost of a former major league pitcher because he looked good for one game in Buffalo.

Death taxes and Erik Swanson giving up a run in every appearance in 2024.

And then the rest of the bullpen soiled themselves too. I have a feeling this will be one very long and ugly season from here.

It's got more to do with injuries and really having nobody else. It's not like they chose to replace a healthy Rodriguez with Manoah.

DFA Swanson. Giving up a bomb to a player who was hitting less than .100 on the season is embarrassing

Yeah a guy doing a bat flip when you're hitting 0.094 is outrageous. Nevermind against a batting practice pitcher in Swanson.

Man reliever are hilarious.

Two of our best relievers last season are our worst ones this season.

Just can't rely on anybody to be sustainably good anymore.

I can't even wrap my head around the complete and utter collapse of this teams core.

After 2021 and 2022 it looked they were set up for a nice long run of strong teams. Vlad, Manoah, Kirk and now Bo have completely imploded into a inexplicable mess. Even Springer completely fell apart instantly, he's older but you'd expect a slower decline not a cliff dive in one off season.

I mean to have four sub 25 year old core pieces who all looked like perennial all stars die at the same time has to be some sort of MLB first. It's gotta be like a 99th percentile type of outcome or something.

I take it the Blue Jays are not winning the World Series this year?

They brought up Manoah way too soon. He should have started at least 5 more times in the minors before starting with the Blue Jays.

The list of pitchers in the boxscore today is what I would call a DFA train. Everyone of em..DFA...no beuno.

Who else would they have called up to start today though? Especially with a thin bullpen. The only other guy I could see them calling up instead was Tiedemann but he's hurt too.

It was one of those games where you just play him and hope for the best. Had Rodriguez not got hurt he would have played instead.

Almost like their might be another common denominator(s) we should attempt to change before the season is completely toast - but nah let’s just trot the same manager and hitting coach out until the season is over and a long forced rebuild is upon us

It’s just a poorly built roster being poorly managed
