Default Netflix will stream 'The Interview' starting this weekend

Quote:
Netflix is the latest company to offer up The Interview on demand.
The online video service announced Tuesday that it will offer The Interview, which it dubbed "the controversial comedy," to its subscribers in the United States and Canada for no additional charge starting on Jan. 24. Google Play, Xbox and Apple TV previously offered the movie for purchase after the movie was pulled from many theaters following threats from hackers.
Well there goes 90 minutes of my weekend

I watched it sober, with my parents, and enjoyed it quite a bit. I don't understand people complaining Franco's character was over the top. That was the point. Amazing this thing caused an international incident... it's incredibly silly.

Is this applicable to tier 2 Netflix (Canada)?

Yup, 90 minutes I'm not going to get back anytime soon.
Not upset I watched it, made me glad I didn't spend money to see it at the cinema.

I was watching it tonight and only have 30 minutes left. But my internet has died at home. The Koreans are after me. I'm not sure how long it will be before they take down my mobile network.

Just finished it. I laughed a few times. It was alright, although I'm glad I didn't pay for it.
My girlfriend wasn't a fan.

Literally just finished it.

I echo the sentiment that I am glad I did not pay to see it, but I found it pretty entertaining..

I have also been partaking in some alcohol so maybe that has swayed my opinion.

Spoiler!

Ditto. It wasn't bad, definitely not worth seeing a theatre. Pretty much inline with other Seth Rogen flicks. Seth being the Seth he is in every movie, just different scenery.

I enjoyed it. For sure a rental and not theatre worthy but really most movies are these days. I thought Franco really carried the movie as his outfits alone were hilarious.

it was ok. I would give it a 6/10. Definitely a rental/netflix pick as opposed to seeing it in a theatre. I really liked the scoring though...they picked good songs for some of the scenes.

I enjoyed it. I thought the beginning and the end were pretty good. It lagged a bit in the middle.

I thought it was going to be a little more subversive. They hinted at historical American propping up of foreign dictators, as well as some of the serious social problems in America, but all in all it was pretty straight forward. The guy who played Kim Jong Un and the woman who played Sook were great.

My favourite line: "If liking margaritas and Katy Perry makes you gay, then who wants to be straight?!?"

So, heres the thing, my wife asked me if I wanted to watch this and I reminded her that this was made by the same people that made 'This is the End.'

At which point she was not at all interested in watching it. Even for free.

So was it any good? Remember, I need that from the perspective of someone who hated 'This is the End?'

I liked The Interview and hated This is the End. IMO it's not as ridiculous and not as mind numbingly stupid, but it is still pretty stupid. I recommend going in with low expectations.

Not sure what everyone else was expecting, but I thought the movie was freaking hilarious. I even watched it twice.
