"Try to contain your excitement as you read the following: Fallout 4 is going to be officially announced on Wednesday. No, publisher Bethesda Softworks hasn't formally confirmed the next entry into the post-apocalyptic RPG series. But there's definitely a Fallout in the making, and there's compelling evidence that points to some manner of reveal at 10 a.m. ET on June 3. Let's take a look."

Holy crap I am excite. The start of fallout 3 when you come out of the vault and your eyes adjust to the wasteland for the first time was one of my most memorable gaming experiences.
Also impressed at how they have released info on this so far. 24 hour countdown to a teaser (hopefully) and then 30 minutes of gameplay at E3 in a few weeks. If its followed by a late 2015/early 2016 release, I'll be pumped.
Really excited, but I really hope it's better than fallout new Vegas!
Fallout 3 was one of favorite games ever.

Should I be excited about it...dunno. Bethesda are masters of creating beautiful gameworlds with terrible gameplay and animations. I'll be optimistic, they're obviously going to use a new engine. Hopefully it can support modding of animations that way we don't have to watch rigid stick men plod about. So many things they could add:
-cover mechanics
-vehicular travel
-time travel
-multiplayer
-more advanced companion control potential
-acrobatics
-colony/empire building
-raw resource collection
-advanced crafting system
Really curious to see how closely they stick to the formula. I say screw it and hope they shoot for the moon. The coolest part of anything I've ever done in fallout was with a modded in invisibility suit. The gameplay changed completely and the graphical effects were insanely cool. Hopefully they really think outside of the box and create an open ended world with many options and no boundaries like in New Vegas how it was so easy to get boxed in sometimes.

You need to go to the Nexus for this stuff. There are massive amounts of mods available that do this.
Fallout 3 is my favorite game. It was so well done and the storylines... Also, so depressing as it should have been because life sucks out in the wasteland.

I modded both of them, a ton. 100+ on each one. The problem is the animations were almost always bad and the way things move seem really fake. Just like in Skyrim. A game like GTA 5 has beautiful animations that really bring the game to life, not saying that's where they should aim but something better than rigid stickmen would be nice. I had a blast playing both of them though.
The environmental mods in New Vegas were insanely good as was the cloaking stealth ranger armor, it changed the games camera if you had the goggles too. It would look night vision sort of but in a very pleasing to the eye manner. Sneaking into a base looked about as cool as any other video game I've ever seen.
Bethesda is awful and despite Fallout being my favourite game growing up I have little expectation for this. New Vegas had at least a bit of the original spark and personality but Bethesda just makes epic, massive, impressive, stunning and utterly soulless titles. Worst possible company to have these rights.

Wow... just unreal. Bethesda has made amazing games. Hell, Wolfenstein: The New Order is one of the best shooters I've played in the last decade. Dishonored was also a standout title the year it was released.

Bethesda's character models are still 3-5 years behind it seems, but the environment looks good. For a second there I thought I was looking at Fallout 3 again (and I would look at it all day since the game was a masterpiece).
Really loving the possible flashback scenes to when the nuclear bombs hit; could be a great playable level for creating chaos, 1950's neighbourhood style
