To me, Kylington appears to have the greatest upside. But this is almost all based on what I've read. Haven't seen enough of Gillies', Jankowski's or Kylington's games to really evaluate them.

I went Gillies but I'm really excited as I feel he, Jankowski, Hickey, Kylington, Mangiapane, and potentially a few others all have that star potential.
I think the Flames cubboards are suddenly stocked, and seemingly throughout the lineup.
There are always some tricky spots to choose in these rankings. Shinkaruk and Hathaway for me this year. Both could easily be NHLers this year, but will probably end up middle of the pack in this.

Bennett went straight to the NHL playoffs after basically missing a whole season..... Didn't diminish him as a prospect at all.
Gillies's 2 shutouts in his first 3 AHL games and a .920 sv % had him tracking to be with the Flames last year before he got hurt.
To me a shut out is pretty much an equivalent of a hat trick.
Nothing at all to indicate that having Gillies as #2 means the Flames prospect list is lacking ....
BUT after that it worries me that Jankowski/Shinkaruk/Andersson/Kylington are going to be higher on the Flames list then they would be on a lot of other teams list.
Missing 3 high picks from 2015 draft obviously has to degrade the Flames Prospect list..... Last years #1 (Brazal or Connor) might give Tkachuk and Gillies some competition for the top spots....
But Hamilton at age 23 would win the prospect list by a large margin.

IIRC that's not true. He had some shutouts and a couple of stinkers. Anyway it was just 7 games. I voted Gillies but with great reluctance after missing a year. Unfortunately I think it speaks to the rest of our prospects. A whole lot of question marks and some of the projected blue chippers didn't have the year hoped for.
Also shows the effect of trading 3 high picks for Hamilton. This list looks a lot different without that trade.

I completely agree with this, but I think Jankowski's NHL potential is at best a 2nd line center...more likely a 3rd line center or winger.
A potential starting goaltender (who could be a great starting goaltender) is going to be worth more long term.

The team doesn't seem concerned about him missing the season. In fact they chose for him to have the surgery chose when they did because they felt a full off-season of conditioning was more beneficial for him than playing more games and rehabbing during the summer. Gillies has played through the injury for 2 years and likely would have played through the season. It's the same surgery Demko had last summer and the same Rinne had in 2013.

Color me surprised Janko could win this round. He still polarizes so many fans. Some see a likely 2nd line center. Some see a guy that wont make the NHL. Amazing for a guy with 4 years of college.
I'm personally a little more pessimistic and wil be voting some of the d-men next.

I remember the 2014 world juniors, the first time I really got to see gillies play. Living in Edmonton at the time for school, I told my oiler friends that gillies is going to have a coming out party just like gaudreau and Gibson the year prior. Gillies then went on to have a sub .900 tourney leading the US to an early exit. My oiler friends made sure I knew I was wrong about that one.
On top of that, providence's new starter Nick Ellis posted better numbers than Gillies did in his. junior year. Not to mention, Gillies just lost pretty much a whole year of development.
For those reasons, I can't see him as our number 2 prospect and put Jankowski and Hickey above him for sure.

Gillies really only had 1 poor game which was the one against San Antonio where he was pulled. His numbers in his second game looked poor but but it was one of those games where he played well (not great, but well) but his stats were hurt by goals he never had much of a chance on. Every other game he was fantastic, their first game against San Diego especially stands out to me as he and Gibson were putting on a goaltending clinic until Gibson got injured.

Voted Jankowski. He was really good at Dev. Camp, and his pedigree is excellent, think he'll be a star. Was really torn between him and Gillies, I'd go with Jon next.

These next few picks are tough, several of the choices seem to have boom or bust potential. I went with Gillies due to his high ceiling, but Jankowski or one of the top D prospects (Hickey, Kylington, Andersson) could just as easily end up the best of the lot.

Fortunately for you, there is already a support group, and it is conveniently hosted on this very site. (It may be on the edge of being classified as a brainwashing religious cult, so I would be careful if I were you.)

I went with gillies. It was a tough call, but I just can't ignore his potential and his high ceiling. Really looking forward to this season. He needs to be injury free and prove himself to everyone and I really think he will.

Shocked Jankowski is leading this poll and had respectable numbers in the poll for #1 as well. I think this one is Gillies easily and I think Janko could be behind Shinkaruk, Kylington, Anderssen. I haven't decided who I will vote for number 3 unless Gillies somehow loses this poll

I can't wait to see how the rankings end up. I think it'll be a lot more interesting this year. With so many second round picks, there's quite a few good prospects to compare.
I have Gillies quite a bit ahead of everyone else, but after him, I'm not completely sure. Andersson, Jankowski, Kylington, and Hickey are all interesting.
