Hahahaha that was long my time. Although for those who remember the large break in Cochrane this approximately 4-5 times of that lines flow rate.
No real updates as of yet aside from the City working to secure a series of 12” pumps for potable water approximately 6-7km’s to try and increase available water to draw from other facilities. In addition they are also sourcing pumps to increase capacity at the Glenmore waste water facility as well.
The biggest unknown is still the break itself. Sounds like our crew won’t be able to start excavating to locate and size up the rupture until at best late day tomorrow at worst Sunday mid-end of day. Then the real work begins. Also keep in mind the water leak came from the weakest point and the actual break itself could be a kilometre Away and any infrastructure that was compromised by the running water will have to be excavated and repaired as well.
Based on our last update I would personally expect water restrictions to remain in place for 5-7 days conservatively. But that situation is fluid (haha see what I did there) in the meantime PLEASE don’t be one of the jackwagons that is coming down to try to get a look at everything. All you’re doing is getting in the way and pissing everybody off.

What a win! I put some in at our house too just before that last huge dump of snow and the melt from that filled them up. They’ve both stayed almost full, one dipped to 2/3 full at one point but with last weeks brief rain, back to full! 110 gallons total

We're never going to flood Sunnyside at this rate.

It’s like any other travel team. You’d think all you need is budgie smugglers but nooooooo you need to pay for bla bla bla thanks for the $5k now your kid (probably) won’t drown when they fall in a lake.

So we don’t get to see you in your German marble bag?

The best part in the early days of the 2013 flood was working to bail out my basement, only to look up to Crescent Heights Road and a packed house gawking
It all is forgiven the response in the days ahead was amazing, but yes people be people. Rubbernecking is a human thing
