I agree pretty closely with the Gamespot review, the story missions are very repetitive and uninteresting. The most fun I've had so far is the first 3 person strike team mission at lvl 8, but I find myself getting bored trying to advance my character and end up going back to D3

We were literally a fraction of a second away from giving up after 2 hours. Had the fade to black killscreen but one of us respawn as it was about to restart!

I haven't had much of yet myself full game wise. While the numbers aren't stellar it seems like people are enjoying it well enough. Hopefully it has a longer lasting power than something like Titanfall - that thing fell off a cliff.

And heck it better last longer - they're hoping for 10 years out of this franchise!

Considering Titanfall got superior reviews it just goes to show that quality doest necessarily mean huge success. Destiny should last a while simply due to how many people purchased it opening week but I think once the other big fall titles come out it fill be forgotten quickly.

Reviewers all lament the lack of content but Bungie is already adding game modes and levels. Stuff just opened up in the crucible. The first raid, which is a completely new type of PvE event, is opening up to high level players this weekend. Having a review out now almost seems unfair.

40+ hours was what one reviewer put in.

That is a fair point. I guess we'll have a better sample size as time goes on and reviewers have the proper time to actually play through the content.

Actually, I forgot that Metacritic has their hidden website weighting system. The "bigger" popular websites have a greater weight than the little random ones. Still worth keeping an eye on.

So, I got a 30 day playstation plus trial card that came with my game and when I go to redeem, it keeps saying it's invalid. WTF.

The other preorder codes that came with the game worked fine.

It's for 'new' accounts only. I tried to use the 30 day card on my psn account and it said invalid code. But when I gave the card to my brother he made a new account it works.

K, so I'm at level 22, finished story mode, and am just finishing bounties right now. Got kinda bored, and thought I'd relent and spend the extra $35 for the expansion pass to freshen things up. However, nothing is added. No new missions, no weapons added, nothing. Anyone know what I just paid $35 for? Or am I missing something?

Those are future DLC add ons over the next year. Not actually in the game yet.

The expansion pass is for content to be released in the future. I hit level 20 last night and I am in your same boat grinding to get my light levels which is fun but can get boring if your by yourself.
