Default 2018 WJC Finals: Bronze - CZE-USA 2pm MT. Gold - SWE-CAN 6pm MT.

One of Lindstrom or Dube will get a Gold medal. The other a silver medal.

Fox could bring the medal count to 3 if USA wins today.

Flames prospect stats
Dube 6gp 2g 2a 4pts +2 - 4th in SOG
Fox 6gp 1g 4a 5pts +3 - tied for 14 in SOG, 4th in points by d-men
Lindstrom 6gp 0g 2a 2pts even
Ruzicka 5gp 0g 2a 2pts +1
Valimaki 5gp 1g 3a 4pts even - tied for 7th in points by d-men
Tuulola 3gp 0g 0a 0pts -1

2pm MT Czechia vs USA]
Czechs were totally dominated by Canada last night. USA lost a tough one where they lost the game when 2 shorthanded goals were scored against them during the same PP.

It is hard to predict this game, teenagers sometimes don't show up to this game when their dreams of a gold medal were crushed the night before.

6pm MT Sweden vs Canada
This will be Canada's toughest challenge. Sweden seems to be a team of destiny this year. They haven't trailed once in the tournament. They have high end skill in their forwards and defence. In terms of top players, Sweden has the edge. The line of Nylander-Andersson-Pettersson pretty much carries the team. Dahlin, Liljegren, and Brannstrom add dynamic support from the D.

Canada hasn't had the same players consistently carry the team like the Swedes, but they have much better depth and they have been taking turns driving the team.

This could be the closest game of the tournament.

My All-Star ballot. Due before the GMG, and not fair to count Bronze but not Gold game so I vote now.

F Casey Mittelstadt-USA
F Martin Necas-Czech Republic
F Filip Zadina- Czech Republic
D Adam Fox-USA
D Rasmus Dahlin-Sweden
G Filip Gustavsson-Sweden
MVP Casey Mittelstadt-USA

Not sure you can give Mittlestadt the MVP when they don't even get in the gold medal game.

Well Filip Zadina has declared the Czechs have made a suicide pact for the bronze medal:

Chris Peters @chrismpeters
Filip Zadina: I was glad to play well, but I’m so sad because we lost. My goals mean nothing. We will do anything tomorrow, we will die on the ice to bring a medal back to Czech Republic.

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
No Logan Brown (OTT) for Team USA in bronze medal game vs. CZE today. With Will Lockwood (VAN) already out of tourney, USA down to 11 forwards. Kailer Yamamoto (EDM) expected to play but may be hobbled after slash from SWE Oskar Steen in SF. Steen has disciplinary hearing.

TSN website says 5 pm MT game start. Anyone know if that's just for the pre-game talking heads, or does the actual game start at 5 MT?

It’s accurate. Puck drop is scheduled for shortly after 5pm.

Sorry I’m in pacific time right now. 6pm mountain is puck drop.
