Re-watched Hook for the first time in probably 25 years and it's great, I absolutely loved it. Everything from Robin Williams to Julia Roberts as Tink to the sets and costumes it's all fabulous. The film currently sits at 29% on Rotten Tomatoes, so this proves once again you can never trust the tomato....one of Spielberg's best. Also Hoffman what a performance

Hoffman and Hoskins as a pseudo-queer couple is tremendous if you retroactively view it from that lense.
Rotten Tomatoes proving once again that it is a pretentious paradise of nonsense.

Speaking of Spielberg...I saw THE FABELMANS last night.
I wanted to like it more than I did but as the son of engineer myself when it hit me it hit me. While other parts I was like "I get it its fine".
Spoiler!
Loved that Steve had David Lynch playing John Ford though
Clerks 3 was actually really good. I'm a big fan of Kevin Smith's earlier work and found his last few movies weren't good, but this was a welcomed return to form.
LMAO, I hadn't seen this in years, but my youtube algorithm brought it back to life. It's a great low budget production of a super hero musical. Enjoy Dr. Horrible!

The documentary "Sqaure one: Michael Jackson" on prime. I was always a big fan and this documentary shows what I knew all along, MJ was not a child abuser, it's actually sad what happened to him.
He was as gay as a picnic basket and only behind Jimmy Savile as one of the most prolific and horrendous child molesters of the modern age. He was one of the strangest human beings on planet earth before you even factor in the child rape.
Written and directed by Aaron James, a current Calgarian who was born in Peace River. Corb Lund in the leading role, he's pretty good. Conrad Kootenay has a supporting role, some of you might recognize him from his youtube skits, great stuff. Filmed in High Level and completely Albertan, well worth going to see.
Can't imagine it will get a long theater run, kinda lucky that Cineplex added it. If you're considering it, get out and see it quick.
I gotta check this out. I knew Aaron growing up, he’s a hometown boy!
Location: A simple man leading a complicated life....

I went in expecting to see a copy of Top Gun and all the flight scenes. That said I rather enjoyed the fact that you got to see the human side of being a fighter pilot and what they go through.

Eye opening documentary!
seriously?
Yes, sad things happened to him but he was also a predator.
