My favorite crusty grindcore band released a new album a few months ago.
Not as good as their earliest material, but worth a listen if you're into this kind of stuff.

Kanye West dropped two new tracks.

Ye v. The People is great.

Lift Yourself has a dope beat. The lyrics are interesting to say the least.

Guns N’ Roses released a re-recorded demo from the Appetite for Destruction days. It’s not new music but it’s still huge.

I'm shocked this hasn't been mentioned here, but the video for Childish Gambino's "This Is America" is blowing up.

That's the first video I've seen in a really long time that I've felt like I HAD to watch multiple times.

Listened through it once so far. Refute with Kim Gordon is a highlight.

Police confirm death of Frightened Rabbit singer Scott Hutchison

Police discovered body at Port Edgar near South Queensferry at 8.30pm on Thursday, with Hutchison’s family informed

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/...cott-hutchison

Quote:
Stuart Murdoch from Scottish band Belle and Sebastian wrote: “Tragic news about Scott Hutchison. The whole music community in Scotland was praying for a different outcome. Folks, if you are up against it, having dark thoughts, please tell someone, family, a friend or a doctor. There is always another way, though it might not seem like it.” Mogwai’s Stuart Braithwaite said Hutchison was “a lovely, warm talented guy and was loved by so many people”, while Franz Ferdinand’s Alex Kapranos called his death “a terrible loss”.

In the early oughts, there were a bunch of indie bands with similar names. Besides The Orange Peels, there was Orange, The Oranges Band, and Oranger. I really liked the latter two bands. I never got into The Orange Peels and I'm pretty amazed to learn they are still active. I will have to check out the new album.

Calgary band Preoccupations have had their gear stolen twice in the last week. They've started a GoFundMe to replace it so they can continue their tour.
