Yup. What is does is prove in their minds they can do it, which will energize them and give them confidence.

Not saying they're winning the series, but I think now it will be a much better series.

If you meant this in any way of a serious statement, I assume you've only been watching hockey for about 1 minute.

Any team can beat any other team. There is really no such thing as a complete upset.

Tampa Bay is favoured to be sure, but I doubt it's more than 65% to start with.

Tampa was and still is favored more then 65% to win this series.

I have no idea who will win this series but I believe Columbus is perfectly able to. They have a nice mix of forwards (Panarin, Atkinson, Dubois, Anderson, Duchene, Dzingel, Jenner, Foligno, Bjorkstrand, Wennberg), they have one of the best blue lines in the NHL (Savard, Jones, Werenski, Murray, Nutivaara), and they have a goalie who is certainly capable of getting hot in Bobrovsky. They really impressed me when we played them in Calgary this year, even though the bounces weren't going their way. They're an 8 seed, but in the same sort of manner as teams like L.A. and Nashville were in past runs.

Agree. I think the Jackets are a really solid and deep team that, for whatever reason, just never got on a roll at any point this year. I think they are very capable of getting hot and winning the series.

The Fan 960 morning show replayed highlights of Phil Esposito's colour commentary when the tide started to turn last night. Absolute gold.

Do yourself a favor and check out the podcast of this morning's show. Starts at about the 2 hour 3 minute mark.

Golly.

Of all the reasons I want Columbus to win and Tampa to fall on their asses one of the more important ones is that I badly want to see Jarmo Kekelainens insane gamble to pay off. He was pushed into a corner in a terribly bad way and responded by storming out, guns blazing, putting both his career and the future of the club on the line for one half decent shot at the cup, and dammit I want to see him rewarded for that in some way.

I've said before that I kind of don't support that.

But it would be one of the great upsets, you have to root for that. Plus in general, Columbus has good fans who have stuck with the team, it would be nice if they got a bit of a taste of the good stuff.

I think they would get through this time. I can't see them losing four straight games with three of those on home ice again.

Tampa looks completely rattled. I think the winner of game 2 will go on to win the series.

Wow.....

If the jackets take the series, would it be the biggest upset, perhaps ever??

Didn't Washington come back from being down 2 last year? Against Colombus too?
