BoJack Horseman
I was browsing Netflix the other day and I stumbled upon this gem of a show. I don't think there's a thread yet on this, sorry if there is (the search function barely works on #$%ing tapatalk) I was curious as to what others thought of this new show. I've been a big fan Will Arnett since Arrested Development and I have too say he totally smashes it out of the park here as BoJack, an alcoholic washed up actor who happens to be a horse, just a total a$$ hole who filled with self loathing. The way he interacts with the supporting characters is just hilarious. Characters such as his cat agent, loser roommate played by Aaron Paul and dumb rival Mr. Peanut Butter, a big yellow dog (lab I think) It reminds me of the Archer/Bob's burger's style rather than the Family Guy formula (and I like FG). Really looking forward to season 2.

Just binge watched the show. It was fun, engaging, and entertaining - but I wasn't really laughing out loud at anything in particular.

I love Mr. Peanut Butter's antics.
I did enjoy the show and can't wait for season two. The show reminded me of Ugly Americans as well.

Yes not laugh out loud for sure, but neither is Archer mostly but I love that show too. They're both still engaging, smart and funny. Critics are mixed on it surprisingly. My favorite episode is the one where BJ, Sarah Lynn and Todd do ALL the drugs. The whole episode was basically one gigantic acid trip.

Finished first episode, very underwhelming but I'll give it at least 5 episodes.
Archer is laugh out hilarious all the time, that show is just so perfect and I've rewatched it so many times its bordering on obsession.

I watched the first two episodes a few weeks back when the show first hit Netflix and it just didn't engage me enough to continue watching.

As mentioned in the other thread I have tried to watch it twice.
The first time I stopped about 10 minutes in to the first episode thinking it was bad. Last weekend I attempted to give it another (fair) shot and ended up suffering through 4 episodes before I had to turn it off.
There are so many TV shows that people tell me to watch these days.. I just couldn't waste my time on this.

I felt it got better after the first half, when there's actually some character development. I initially watched the first episode and didn't like it, but after my roommate recommended I keep watching, I did it and really enjoyed it.
I think it was a bit mis-marketed though. It's not entirely a comedy and kind of gets a bit dark/sad as it goes on. It was signed on for another season so I'm looking forward to see where it's headed.

I'll check it out.
If it is similar to Archer in humor, I'll probably lose interest. I find Archer OK, but I won't go out of my way to watch it.

Personally I find Archer hilarious. But the humour between the two is not similar.
Bojack IMO was mediocre. It had a few funny moments but nothing that was laugh out loud and certainly not quotable. I watched the first four or so episodes and honestly forgot about it until this thread popped up.
I'll likely go back and finish it, but I'm not in a rush, and wouldn't be able to do it in a binge watching session.

I really wanted to like BoJack Horseman.
Then I kept watching it and I did.
It grew on me big time after nearly dropping it, and I'm glad I stuck in there.

Contrary to opinion here I actually felt my interest waning as the season progressed.
I like the idea, and I was drawn in because it seemed to be so much in the style of Ugly Americans (which I absolutely loved), but hopefully they can expand and exceed in coming seasons.

Watched 3-4 episodes. It was amusing, but I don't know if it was enough to really get me hooked.
I'll probably watch a few more episodes to give it more of a chance, but as of right now, meh.

2nd season is on Netflix now, 2 episodes in and it seems solid. Lisa Kudrow is pretty good so far, favorite part so far is Bojack's aptly labeled spy bag

Halfway through season 2. Very excellent so far. Todd's theme park had me on the floor, dear god. Lisa Kudrow is a great addition. Some real nice guest stars so far.
Writing keeps the same pathos from the previous season, but the comedy seems to be kicked up a notch. Hope it's on for a 3rd season, for sure.
