I wonder what the criteria is to appear on this list. Do they have a different definition of indie? There are many clearly non-indie releases on this list. And if the criteria is to include only bands that started out as independent even though they may have released music on major labels later, then you'd think Smells Like Teen Spirit would rank high on such a list but it doesn't even appear. And The Smiths appear on the list but not, say, The Cure or Echo and the Bunnymen. Not that any of this matters. I spent way too much time trying to decipher this list.

I have no idea what the criteria are but indie is a pretty nebulous term these days. It's more about a sound than it is about being on an independent label.
I've been listening to this demo since is came out in 2008, and it's still by far the best punk/pop-punk album I've ever heard. Every single song is perfect.
I'm sure this is my most listened album.
Iron Chic has since re-recorded a few of the songs and released them on albums, and they've been good, but they can't match their original demo.

I feel the same way about this album. I listen to it frequently and wonder why nobody feels the same way as I do about this album. I was first exposed to them when they opened for Seam in 1995 at the Republik. I was hooked.
