Guys, guys, let's not get away from the fact that I got my first purple weapon two nights ago.

Now that's some RNG winningness for ya.

I wish I knew a better way to get ascendant shards...I grind public events for hours and come out of it with maybe 1 or 2. I am at level 29 and still dont do well in the daily, weekly or nightfall strikes. Not sure what im doing wrong...suggestions?

Are you running VoG on a weekly basis? That's by far the best way to get ascendant material IMO. Don't even need to run HM. Just grab all the chests and you'll have a decent amount.

So quick question, just got the xbone and am trying to download Destiny. Now, I've owned it on the 360 for a couple months and was told I'd get a free Xbone version if I bought it on the 360. Anyone had any trouble upgrading the game or have any suggestions?

I think the free upgrade only worked until Jan 15.....

Naw, it was my bad. Forgot I bought the game and updates seperatly and tried to buy the bundle. Everythings going good now. Also level 31 warlock now on Xbone if any CPers need one more, GT Ignitecgy.

Just ran hm vog with my alt and got fatebringer, vision of confluence, corrective measures, praedyth's revenge, vault titan bath towel, aetheon's epilogue, and aspect of glass.

It's too bad most of those are underpowered now with the new 331 weapons.
Happy to finally get fatebringer though!

Also got red hand ix from nightfall on my alt...rolled kind of crappy perks though :/

Yup. Half the reason I'm still stuck at 31 is I quit playing in mid-December because I was told you couldn't. But, it all transfered over.

Came in on a CP and beat the witch (no loot as it is shared with normal) and got Crota to enrage...now if I could just get abyss or bridge I could hit 32

You will only get loot once a week per character

if you didn't play the weekly at level 30, you can run it again and get more if you up the difficulty.
level 24 gives you 3 coins, 28 gives 6 and 30 gives 9, so if your only did level 24, you can still grab another 6 coins.

I'd be up for VoG, but my schedule is all over the map so I'm not sure when I'd be able to do it.

I am hoping to do it tonight with a group of people I am familiar with as opposed to Destiny LFG.

Destiny has also decided I need to roll a hunter. Keeps giving me hunter loot.

Wanna try 2-manning the first two parts tonight now that I've got that stupid Crota out of the way?




My group spent 6 straight hours trying to down Crota alone.
After many glitches, ogres, exploding thralls, etc...finally it all came together at the very end. Almost caused a wipe at the very end when somebody stepped in front of my rocket.
Got the Fang of Ir Yut (scout rifle). Honestly all I wanted aside from the Crux which remains to be seem. After the kill, it wasn't quite the same feeling as downing Atheon or Crota on normal even with all that time spent. Just a quiet resignation that a troublesome task has been finished. I won't be touching HM Crota for a while now.

Even with that negativity about the new raid I do think that it's always neat to see the community come up with new strategies and roles even if Bungie's HM isn't all that awe-inspiring.

Apparently it's not even worth it to do Ir Yut in HM because the loot table is exactly the same as normal. Just a random exotic drop the best.

Crota HM sounds like such a grind at this point, I'm not sure it's worth trying until the level cap goes up for HoW.

Yeah, I'm in no hurry to try HM Crota at all.
