Blowers & Grafton on Edmonton Trail is gone? That's unfortunate.

Barley Mill had a long run there but it’s been a rotation since

Am I wrong or did they not have a car drive into their front or something? I figured they would reopen after repairs
Or maybe I’ve made all that up in my mind?

Yeah I'm not sure what happened there, one day one of windows was boarded up, I assumed it was vandalism or break in, then a day or so later the closed notice went up on the door.

Does that place do well or is it people parking in front of them and walking to the arena?

The building's for sale now, so maybe it was just a matter of timing with leases and a landlord wanting to sell / not renew?

The arena has been closed for renovations for months and the parking lot is still pretty full. Happy for them, nice to see a place catching on in the neighborhood.

It’s been my regular for a couple years now. Even through covid, it’s been busy every time I’ve gone.

^^ really glad to hear that re: Bitter Sisters- I was only there once, right before covid is how I remember it- waiting to pick someone up at a team bus at the rink parking lot. first weekend of March 2020
it was quiet then but had a great chat with staff (really I assume in part ownership or management) , vibe seemed great and beer hit the spot
will need to go back, although glad to hear they don't NEED me to go back

Ah, gottcha. I am unfamiliar with the university district. Thankfully we have other patios like The Mash and for some lakeside drinking, Chairman's.

Found an updated Mahogany Village Site plan and UCB was right bar and bowling alley from Fort Mac. Micro-beers from the macro beer companies and only some deep fried garbage.

Looks like the university district is getting one as well. I was originally talking about the Canadian Brewhouse.

Tiny location that could only hold 6 tables at most
There is a much larger B&G on 4th street mission where Original Joes used to be
