Are any of these really worth signing?

Beck looked he might be something, but he's injury prone and didn't flourish at all as a 19 year old.

Pretty weak looking draft other than Coronato.

I'm pretty disappointed that we won't be signing Whynot for the wordplay alone.

The worst part of Beck and Whynot not signing, is that it ends the Lucic-Neal trade tree. I was hoping for more to come out of it. If they don't sign then the 2M Neal cap hit for the next couple years is all that will be left.

for 6th and 7th rounders, Ciona and Sergeev look better than their draft position might suggest. One publication from last summer said Sergeev was the Flames best college prospect and the best goalie prospect in college, which included Coronato and Devon Levi respectively

do we? Only Kuznetsov, Poirier and Solovyov are signed and in the system, and Whynot, Jordan and Boltmann drafted but not yet signed

I think D is the weakest position in the organization. Maybe they sign Whynot or Jordan just to get some prospects in the system

I bet the 2021 draft will end up being one of the worst overall across the league due to the lost covid season. The Flames currently have 3 players signed of 8 drafted, and Sergeev will be the 4th. I think that is decent given the circumstances

Hard to say. I don't think the talent in the 2021 draft was bad because of Covid. The inability to properly scout players means some teams probably got luckier than others. Flames look like a team that didn't get a lot of luck to supplement what scouting they had available on the players.
