Sharks 4 - Flames 1
This team has a problem when they give up the first goal. It's an automatic loss, and shows a lack of resiliency. It's not by lack of trying though. They get chances, but just can't convert their chances.
When they're on, they're on. But when they're off, the puck is not going into the oppositions net.
They gotta learn how to win games where they don't look like the Harlem Globetrotters out there.

This a problem too. Gotta be able to beat teams in your own damn conference.
Hope the early record wasn't simply a mirage.

Great start to the season but they have gained only 1 of 6 possible points within their division. I noted this before the game today that it's been a bit of an issue for some time that the Flames for whatever reason have a difficult go of it in the Pacific Division. No reason to panic but I'm sure Darryl won't be happy as he knows the importance of winning divisional games.

Man, that was such a choppy, low energy game. Most boring game of the year.
Proof you just can't take any teams lightly in this league. I had a bad feeling when people were calling this an easy win against this line-up.
That 3rd period just seemed like the guys were already on a plane for the road trip.
Flames really need to start winning against western/divisional opponents. Not cutting it so far.

Sucks, would have been nice to take top spot in the West tonight. Good to see Looch get another though.
Need to crush the Habs on Thursday.

Points in 10 of 11 and this game was right there too. Sure not a masterpiece but Flames never really looked out of sorts.
Fluke bounce to take the lead that the Sharks in the third didn’t deserve and Flames couldn’t get that same puck luck after (or before), because the Flames came on after the Sharks took the third period lead.

That third was an absolute joke. It seemed like they got too cocky with their point streak and figured they just needed to show up.

Top line actually looked pretty good but didn't have the final finishing touch.
One of those nights where secondary scoring needed to step up and they failed miserably (except Looch).

I think they played really well. Had some bad luck and ran into a red hot goalie who probably had something to prove.
Not gonna lose sleep over it, but was certainly hoping for a win.

Aidan Hill the best player on either team by a mile. Great for him and his family. On to Montreal. Darryl will straighten them out by Thursday.

Hill was the best performer today.
We hit a lot of posts. We win that game 9/10 times. Move on to the next one.

I don't understand our difficulty with the Pacific Division.
Every talking head likes to trash it as the worst division, and meanwhile we can't win a game.
Just move us to the east

Overall that was probably their worst game of the season so far, but they were also really good in the 2nd and looked completely dominant at times. I feel like if they had buried even one of those grade A chances in the 2nd period, they probably would have fed off of that and cruised to victory.
It's almost like they got down on themselves for not capitalizing and came out flat in the 3rd as a result. Still plenty of things for this team to work on moving forward, but I'm confident they'll have a good bounce-back game on Thursday.

Hard to be that upset, they had 40ish shots and had a ton more blocked or deflected. Hill played well and got lucky with a couple posts. Thems the breaks.
