Still can’t believe he brought out his dog, there is no chance anyone in the league has any respect for him.
It would be interesting to know what other stars really think. At the very least, it’s extremely self indulgent and at worst it’s completely unnecessary and disrespectful. What’s next? Leon’s pet rat konor? Ferrets by Hyman? Emberson’s cat because he played enough games to go UFA?
As an organization and fan base, they suffer with the biggest case of whataboutery in the sport.

Whoa, whoa...this was sliding perilously close to the bottom page one. Never keep your foot off the gas CP. Oiler grease must never be so slippery to make it to page 2.

Background: I was preparing my family's original antique Apple ][e computer for sale. It had languished unused in basements for decades enough. Before parting with it I scraped all the old Appleworks, Printshop and Newsroom data files from the stack of double-sided, double-density floppies that passed for storage back in the day.
Among other things of no interest to anyone, I found this graphic:
This is what comes of nerds who like hockey. The text elements were created using the Newsroom text function. The axonometric boxes around the text were plunked in by me, pixel-by-pixel. The sentiments were all mine, and as true today as they were back then.
This seems like the right place to post it, so it can fulfill its ultimate destiny after a 40-year wait.

Another goal and an assist for Holloway. In 29 games as a Blue, he has more goals and assists than in two years as an Oiler. 10 goals and 19 points would make him the third highest scoring forward on the Oilers.
Nice to see Calgary kid Holloway playing amazing after escaping the dump up north. Always knew he was a good prospect being ruined by the Oilers development system, as so many others weren't so fortunate to escape. Good for Broberg too.
Is being an oilers a cult mentality? Watched the Oilers game about driving diversity and Valdimer Smid is a top ambassador. Even after the Oilers did him so so so dirty he is pulling the greasy line.
