I was only half paying attention this morning, but is Mike Richards building a house in Calgary. Seems odd.

i think pinder to toronto was something talked about a year or two ago and it never happened. He has his strengths but he is hard to listen to if he is the guy leading the show.

I may have to email my buddy Ryan Ballantine about this opening. Those who know him would say he’d be perfect for the job.

Under Qualifications, they forgot to include "Obsessed with talking about fantasy football whenever not talking about the Flames" because it seems like that's all they do these days.

Which is great for me as I have them on my Fantasy Radio Broadcaster Team

Maybe they realized the new morning show is so bad not even Stephen brunt can save it and it forced their hand

I am really enjoying the afternoons with Pinder on there. Him and Steinberg click well

It really shouldn't be this hard. All they need to do is stop talking about food and random tangents that nobody cares about, and start talking about sports and current events that apply to sports.

I wonder if Pat just drops the afternoon duties to focus on the Game broadcasts.

Or they are adding a full time 3rd host.

Agreed, I've started to listen to the afternoon show again after a long hiatus. I like what Pinder brings, and he seems to have some chemistry with Pat. The morning show is definitely missing Pinder, I wish they'd hire Prime Time Klein to fill his role.

You know who they should hire? Locke. Now hear me out, and yeah I realize he’s not a radio guy.

The thing is that channel is full of a lot of milquetoast, boring guys who have nothing to say. If you’ve spoken with Locke then you realize he has a lot to say. Some of its hare-brained, some hilarious and every now and then some is even insightful. But it’s entertaining, and if he was on the radio I’d listen. Sure he’d have to tone down the swearing (a lot!), but it would be great.

I have no confidence that he could interview people, or talk intelligently about anything other than hockey (definitely not soccer), but really if Warrener can do it, what’s the difference? But finally that station would have some personality, which is exactly what it needs.

Yeah I feel the same way. Matt Rose and Logan Gordon are horrifyingly unprofessional. Kirsch on hockey central is meh... not an opinion worth listening to, but not one that drives you away like the two joke hacks mentioned earlier.

I used to think the goofy stuff was intermittent, but it’s been a slippery slope & it’s taken over so many shows that I just turn it off. Boomer wears it like a badge of honour.

I put the afternoon show on once this summer, driving back from Lethbridge. They did a harness racing infomercial for 20-30 minutes. Pretty much done with that station now.

I stop listening after free agency and do not start again until early-mid September. The station is a joke in the summer but it gives me my flames fix the rest of the year

Who's the next retired player to try his luck at radio or TV?

Locke doesn't even speak English. All of his forum posts are just a chain of miraculously random, context-less character spam that just happen to look like they were made by someone fluent in the language. The odds of this are outrageous, yet here we are.

The morning show has become like Scooby-Doo if the only characters were Scooby and Shaggy.
