I think I'll actually watch this year's ASG, at least the skills competition anyways. I think BSD has the perfect personality type to make an ASG entertaining. Hope he's not too overwhelmed by his first time there with all the good players, and just be's his normal charming self.

No because he won't be worried about getting a minus.

Chucky should wear a bald mask and black out a few teeth a la Kassian...

instead of his name...Just put "ELITE" across the back.

And change his number to 14....(Goals)...

Honestly I think it'd be hilarious if they make Keith Tkachuk the All-Star game coach

He's one of the most recognizable faces of St.Louis hockey playing over 9 seasons there.

His son is on the team.

It would make McDavid and Draisaitl cry even more.

It's okay. They're western teams. Nobody will even notice.

With 3 flames as All-star, good guess that Johnny isn't going.

imagine this.

Chucky - Drysaddle - Doughty

haha

His wife might be sad they miss Mexico. But come contract time his agent should be able to leverage a couple more bucks during negotiations by having an ''all-star'' client and I'm sure he'll be able to make it up to her.

Honestly couldn't have happened to a better dude on the team.

Unfortunately, Quinn Hughes was voted last man in for Pacific.

I'm not particularly up on what's in the standard ELC, but isn't being named to the All Star Game one of the rookie bonuses he'd earn? And, if so, isn't Hughes playing the ASG a bad thing for Vancouver's cap situation this / next year?

Yes, he will be eligible to get a bonus for playing in the ASG, but he was likely going to max out his performance bonuses anyway, so it doesn't really make a difference for the Canucks' cap situation.

But Oilers fans told me Keith is embarrassed by Matthew

They'll be stories about his rise from near obscurity in the Czech League to the NHL during All Star Weekend. Media loves those stories.

Nope. If they talk to him at all, it will be to ask him if he is upset with Tkachuk and if he is worried about repercussions from the mighty Kassian.

Congrats to Rittich! The Flames haven’t had 3 all stars since Fleury, Roberts, and MacInnis in 1992.

“Don’t you feel blessed to play in the same league, division, province and now All Star team as the exceptional McDavid?”
