Thanks guys for the amazing photoshop skills, love this thread.

Edmonton is no good!
That's what I'm going to call him from now on - Frankenberry.

Pros like Duhatschek wouldn't ever say they're a "Flames fan".
Lowe runs the media message and has for the 20 years he’s been GM or higher up there. Like the players he’s charmed, he keeps the local scribes close enough to be on his side to grt his message out there.

After that tweet, certainly seems that Lowe invited Staples to the exec offices for a regular lunch, and Lowe delivered his edict thst he wish to be dispelled to the masses. But it’s a common occurance.

It’s part of the MO that he saw Sather employ back in the glorious 80s where Sather had those guys like Jones eating out of his hand.

This is beyond a shadow of a doubt. Duhatschek was on with Rob Kerr around the same time the tOILEts had a Glen Sather night 2 or 3 years ago.

He said in the 80’s after the Flames were out of the playoffs he would cover Edmonton & Sather would sit across the aisle from him on the plane & go off on idiotic diatribe rants to others in the organization. It took 3 seconds for Eric to realize that he was trying to peddle this garbage in earshot of Eric as eavesdropped inside information.

The rot of that organization started with Sather who mentored Lowe, Messier, & Gretzky.

May they keep uprecycling that trash upstairs as it all just leaches into the entire organization and poisons everything from drafting to development with stupidity.

So hopefully the Flames players have been inoculated. Who knows what kind of bugs McDavid is carrying this time.

I certainly wouldn't want to be standing behind him in the showers.

So the Oilers play a tired Minnesota team on Friday and then a tired Flames team on Sunday, all while they get a rest the night before.

What a great schedule.

Connor McDavid is so generational that he is tied for 7th place in scoring, 11 pts after the leader, after one third of the season. Not many generational talents can do that!

That is the thing. All his extra ice time is probably the equivalent of 2 or 3 extra games.

Flames have scored nearly one goal per game more than the Oilers.

Don't underestimate the garbage time points. The Oilers always get into garbage time months before the rest of the league. I'm sure Hitchcock will pull his own goalie so Connor can even score on his own net! No doubt the Edmonton arena stats counters will include those in his point totals, they'll just ignore the minus that goes along with it.

This post made me laugh out loud. Even I back then did not think there was a world where they signed Russell long term. And then they did. What a beautiful organization.

Don't worry, as soon as the team is eliminated and the pressures off he'll race to the art ross title.

That's all coiler fans need to be happy.
