Watching the Leafs and Oilers pre-game, and the panel is asked who scores the most points out of Matthews, Marner, McDavid and Draisatl.
Only caught Bieksa's answer, but he says "Matthews, because he gets to play against the Oilers defense the most. Joking...."

Bieksa's playing with fire. Everybody knows the people up top at SNET won't stand for jokes made at the Oilers expense. Hextall was shown the door rather quick.

Bump; I don't think anyone actually answered this question.
If Neal is actually physically unfit because of his own doing, and reported to camp as such, the Oilers would have the right to suspend him without pay until he was back in shape. It's a standard clause in a player's contract that they have to keep themselves in shape and if they don't—unless it's as a result of an injury incurred while playing hockey—the team has the right to suspend them.
I scarcely remember this clause ever being invoked. The last time I can remember would have been 2005, after the lockout; Keith Tkachuk reported to Blues camp ( at least) 25 lbs overweight, and the Blues actually went as far as suspending him.

Fun facts..
Tyson Barrie hasn't had a plus season since 2014-15 with the Av's. Even after averaging 49 points a year since, he still only averages out a -12. I cant wait to see his plus/minus after this season. So far 2 points and -4.

Just heard during the Kings-Avs game that Andreas Athanasiou is only the second LA King to score in his first three games as a King. The first was Wayne Gretzky.
If Andreas can score tonight he will tie Wayne Gretzky who scored in his first four games as a King.
Edmonton is no good. And they just keep on giving! Two seconds, eh?

I was really tempted to take Barrie in a points only pool, because he’d be the main PP guy and I thought at least that would be OK on the Oilers. Glad I passed.

Really? Nobody but the worst team in the league took anything but a 1-year flyer on him...I'm shocked he isnt in the Norris conversation.

Thats a bit extreme but I see where you're coming from. I'd rather blood our prospects than clutter the roster with a handful of expensive has-beens and never-weres.
Granted, the Oilers dont have that luxury. Because they suck.
