I give up stroemgren/heineman/ruzicka in that order. With a second could be fair value. I have read some reports that have said the rags should be expecting a second. I think with 15 teams interested they will get more than one second.

It’s a lot to give up but we have the perfect situation for a kid like this. He could step into top six, second pp time immediately. This kid had glowing scouting reports. He back checks, uses his 6’3 size well, good wheels, great hands. Give this kid runway and watch out. We need a player like this so badly.

Agree I think the discussion starts with a 2nd rnd pick. The three prospects you listed gives it a little gravy but they only hold value within the organization. If I'm the Rangers the 2nd is great and one of those are meh ok maybe.

Guessing Rangers will have a few 2nd rnd pick offers and they will wait to see which team starts to dive in the standings giving them the higher pick. This trade could take a while I'm guessing unless one of those prospects puts us over the top.

Second rounders will be worth even more in this upcoming draft (I think), primarily because a lot of prospects are making up for lost developmental time. Flames should hold onto both their second round picks, and maybe try to make up for the lost third and fourth.

Although I really agree with this I think the window with this squad is so close to closing that a renovation upgrade of a 6 3 200 pound offensively and defensively talented pwf for decent value you do it.

I would try to offer steomgren or heinemen before a second this year. Pelletier is going to sneaky good I feel. But injury potential is there with him.

Ideal trade heinemen/stromgren and a third this year.

But yeah your point is sound Reg. This year could be great for added top 64 picks due to last scouting and developmental constraints yet not at the expense of this kid.
