This game is bringing back awful vibes of last year's first round. The turtle is reassuring me to watch anyway. "Only as long as the beer is stocked in the fridge" is my reply.

In all seriousness, I hope this team figures it out, before it's too late.

They are playing with such low confidence. There was one sequence early in the Vegas game where they made a tic tac toe play that ended with a Gio shot and a spectacular Fleury save that was the best bit of passing I’ve seen in weeks. I feel like I’ve never seen Jonny just be satisfied with a shot from the top of the circles so much. Somethings gotta give!

Who knows if it's true, but this feels like an important game for this core. All of the doubts springing from the playoff disappointment and concerns about regression from career seasons have resulted in a lot of open discussion from fans as well as local and national media about a shakeup.

If they lose again, at home, to a skeleton crew from the organization that exposed them, after suffering back to back shutouts against divisional rivals, will it be enough to lead to changes? It feels like it right now.

I'd like to see the Monahan line bounce back with a great performance to remind of everyone of what they can be. Bring back the purple gatorade! Rittich with some big saves on MacKinnon. Gio blocking shots and jumping in on the rush.

Go Flames Go! 4-1 Flames

We need to get this Avs monkey of our back before we can move forward. If we lose this one we could be on a very steep downward spiral BUT take them down tonight, regardless of whether they are under staffed or not, and it might inject some belief back into this group of players and start them on the road to recovery.
Hoping for the latter but expecting the former.

November 7, against New Jersey is the last time the Flames led a game.

I feel like shooting percentage is one of the big issues for the top guys. In that, they‘be had some bad luck at the beginning of the season, which led to them losing confidence, which led to them taking lower percentage shots, which leads to an ever lower shooting percentage. Ad infinitum

5-1 Avs. They'll start off decent enough but one will end up in the back of their net and they'll get all pouty about it. Winds of change are needed in Calgary the 50 plus sample size is just to big to ignore. This mediocre team is mediocre and that's being generous at times.

What's our back end look like?
I haven't heard any updates on Brodie since the incident at practice. Is Hamonic hurt as well?
I'm usually more updated but this site is my source of info and it's been too depressing to read lately.

Weird that no one in the media has posted any injury updates. Hopefully Hamonic isn't hurt badly.

They had the day off yesterday. Practice is scheduled for 10:30am this morning. We should be getting updates then.

I fully expect the Flames to get smoked tonight.

So of course, they'll win.

Getting a goal in the first period also would be a good start.

I expect another 60 minutes of shutout hockey. It would be amazing if we were on the winning side of it this time though!!!
