I am helping order alcohol for a fundraising dinner, which in the past has never been a boozy affair. There are roughly 80 - 100 guests, 12 bottles of liquor, 36 bottles of wine. That said, how much beer is appropriate. I've seen online that an average of 3 beers per light drinker is ok which would be roughly 240. Hard for me to say if this is correct.

The kidlet asked me this tonight:
How can you see through glass or plastic? It’s a solid. The molecules are packed enough that it is solid… so how can we see through the solid matter?

Some people only drink wine, some ciders (fewer), and some only beer. I’d say 3 beer/person for a light drinker is still too much. For wine perhaps 1.5-2 bottles per table (5-6 people$. Don’t forget maybe a few gluten free beer (Mongozo or Glutenberg).

I’m not a scientist or a psychologist but in my opinion if they’re asking questions like that you’re clearly raising a real troublemaker

Thats the sign of a psychotic mind.

Dont question it! Just enjoy the transparency it provides and worry not about the manner in which it provides it!

If they start questioning the essential function of magnets then they're likely to invent a new type of nuclear weapon in the future.

If buying with a liquor permit ask about returning the unopened bottles/cases for full refund.

Today I was photocopying an 80 page double sided instruction manual through the feeder tray which took a few minutes. While I waited I thought to myself “ya…but how though?”

Imagine copying long written documents pre technology.

I honestly can’t imagine photocopying anything in 2023.

Chuck Norris is 82, yet his mom is still alive.

She must be even more powerful than him.

My wife gets annoyed whenever I say, 'what do you think Wormius is doing right now?'

Literally reading this post.

Otherwise, watching “Banshees of Inisherin” again and buying a few transit tickets.

You should explain to them how everything solid is mostly just empty space and how even when you think you're touching something the matter of your hand never actually even comes into contact with it. See what they make of that.

A video I posted on Instagram a month ago began getting hundreds of likes and thousands of views every hour today. The attention is weirding me out, I liked it better when 17 people liked my posts.
