All right - well, the interest definitely seems to be there regarding the All-Star concept - so barring any as-yet-unvoiced protestations I will volunteer to coordinate the whole thing, once Dooz-Wimp makes his final picks and we wrap this puppy up.

I have to admit, though, that I have no idea what you guys are talking about when it comes to this "crush" thing. Brian Burke? Eastern Girl? Wha? (Clearly, my lurking skills on CP are not what they once were - I'm totally out of the loop.)

Then you split each category randomly into 2 polls. One category at a time of course. The winner of the 2 polls goes to a final vote and you have a winnar for each category.

Get the mods to make the polls up up for you

So in total, that's three polls per category (two semifinals, one final), multiplied by 18 categories... 54 separate polls? I'm not sure the mods would go for that.

Couldn't anyone (GMs and otherwise) who wanted to send an all-star list to someone (Got Miikka) who would then compile the results? Or just post your all-star team here in the thread (or in a new thread)?

If we were to do that, I'd suggest a rule whereby you can vote for only, say, five of your own films in your entire all-star team, so that GMs don't simply send in their entire roster as their all-star team.

I could set something up for people to send in an all-star team (we may have too many categories for that), or judge teams themselves
