Apple is facing mounting political pressure over claims that it has "systematically suppressed" news published by conservative outlets.

In a letter to the company, the head of the Federal Trade Commission called on Apple to review its policies, warning that companies that suppress or promote views based on ideology could be in violation of consumer protection rules.

You can seperate the repugnant individual he is from the President who is actually doing what he said he was going to do, a rarity among politicians, and some of the good things he's done on the domestic front. Can't defend his tariff nonsense and his foreign policies are abhorrent, which appear to only be done to enrich himself.

I think education, and overall socioeconomic status, plays a big part. I have a neighbor that I used to enjoy having discussion with, just to get the alternate point of view.

She is a single mother, and struggling financially, so there is a certain level of "society has failed me", and a victim attitude. She also would consume nothing but online content for information. YouTube being the primary source.

The Kirk shooting is about the time that I came to the conclusion, there was no point in continuing. The sealioning became too much to handle. I don't speak to her anymore because it was never a discussion in good faith, just parroting "gotchas" that had been drilled in via YouTube.
