Sounds like with Lindholm gone that Markstrom would be more interested in moving.
I know dissentower had word he wasn’t too interested but I wonder if thats changed?
Lots seem to be rumouring he’ll be moved now as he’s highly sought after if he’s willing.

Not doubting you, but who is saying Markstrom is more willing to move?
Haven't seen that.

In a perfect world, we make these trades for picks and decent prospects, a couple of whom magically catch fire and lead us to a wild card spot and we end up sweeping Edmonton in the first round

Lebrun was on a panel at the allstar game, I’ll see if I can find the link.
Not specifically saying he will move but now that Lindholm his best friend is gone maybe he’d be more willing.
Marty Biron also said he thinks Marstrom will move.

Peoples' feelings about these things are rarely chiseled in stone.
The first time they brought it up with Markstrom, his reaction is probably: "just had a baby, like it here, happy here... no thanks".
A month goes by. He and his partner have had time to think about it. Team-mates are being traded, and the playoffs are unlikely. His best friend, who also has a baby, gets traded and the world doesn't come to an end. Ask him again: "depends on the situation, but maybe I guess"

Exciting times as we approach the deadline. Calgary has some awesome chips. Markstrom, Tanev, Hanifin and Coleman could stock the cupboards pretty nicely for Calgary.

Hunter Smith came from that 2nd. Flames legend.

Needed that size. Much bigger priority than grabbing smallish local center Brayden Point who was hoping to be drafted by the Flames

So frustrating that draft. Could have had nylander or ehlers. Could have had demko. Could have had Brandon montour. All within a pick or two of Bennett, McDonald, and smith.

Of course you’d ignore me saying we sweep them after they crown themselves the greatest of all time and instead you salivate at the thought of them finishing first

Bennett was the right pick (at the time not hindsight) but not getting Point was the big miss. Burke was quoted that he was too small and that is why they didn’t pick him
