i think the whole Own the Podium program was a bit lofty. the Americans are running away with the medal count so far in these games

I don't know how we'll end up with more medals than the US. They got some surprise medals earlier in the games that should help them win the overall count. Our 2nd week is when the medals will start piling up and hopefully we're in striking distance by then.

So far, Jamie Campbell has called 4 of our 5 medals, 2 silver and 2 gold. He'll make it happen again in the half-pipe. GO CANADA GO!

Ya I never bought into it either. I mean even watching the womens/mens downhill and hearing all our Canadian athletes say how happy they were with their runs even though they finished way out of medal contention. This was supposed to be "their hill" wasn't it?

Obviously the speed skating has been a disappointment so far along with some other events but there's still a lot of Olympics left. I just hate seeing the Americans have such a big lead on us in the medal count.
