Hmm... neat. I took a quick look at the Patagonia offerings and I can already see what you mean. Excellent option as a slacks replacement, not sure about dress pants though. I'd have to see them in person to conclude for sure, but I think without a visual seam or pleat from the hip to the ankle, it's a dead giveaway.
Even if it's not an option for me for work, it might still be a great all around pant option to consider for others. The logic fits and it gives me another option as a replacement the Lululemon yoga pants while keeping the comfort factor. Thanks!

Sure, but have you ever seen a bake shop in any airport?
Edit: YYC food options are also pathetic

Not sure if it's still there, but I tried a hunk of cake out of this machine at Southcentre mall. It was terrible.

Such a jackass. You can see why the other ticket was withdrawn given the video didn’t show beyond a reasonable doubt that the driver passed to close. The guys try’s to bail out as soon as he gets charged for his part.

Its airport food. What Grinds my Gears is having enough slack time to actually sit down for a meal.
I want to get in, get through security, board and get going.
I didnt come here to hang around the airport.

Pretty crazy to know that before camera phones and social media the police would more than likely show up to a situation like this and gleefully ticket the teenager while having an "adult" conversation with the lunatic, older guy, thanking him for reporting it and conversing about kids these days.

T-shirts are undergarments and shouldn't be worn by anyone over the age of 11.
I only ever wear Saab cycling gear when I'm out and about.

Well the kid most likely made a usafe pass of the jackass and this guy was going to be an ####### to the cop with or without the camera so I don’t think body cams had anything to do with it.

These are in every mall in Calgary. Cake flown in from Hoboken, NJ that some celebrity chef slapped his name on.
We live in interesting times.

Agreed, its just too hard to do nowadays. With traffic, low staffing at check in for any issues, and security lines, its too hard to judge it.
I've accepted my fate and now look for the best restaurant I can find for some wine and snacks - Vin Room in the US section is my go to.

I don't believe you.
I've been at this a long time, too. Started going to corporate boxes in my 20s. First time I showed up for a Flames game in a hoodie in a Big Five bank's box...it's a hockey game, why dress up? Nope, suits. I was young and felt very self conscious.
Not going to start listing the corporate boxes I've been in and am going to be in, but dressing up is very standard.
Only thing I can think of to reconcile what you're saying is what you consider dressed down is what I consider dressed up. Dress shoes, slacks and tucked in button up shirts? Sport coats? That's dressed up to me. Suits even more so, obvs.
|
I think people show up to corporate boxes in their work clothes. In general you go out for dinner first and aren’t really heading home between work and the event. So I’m with Weitz, I’ve never met a person who dressed up for a corporate box. It’s people showing up from work, some of who wear suits.

Oh they made a killing off of me on my last trip. Good wine though.

Do you really think so? Even without the camera evidence, the cyclist was being an antagonistic, entitled d-bag, and the teenager was cooperative and polite. That stuff matters a lot more to cops than anyone’s age.

Yeah, airport food is terrible.... in North America. The options in Asia though are awesome and a complete 180. The option in Japan and China are all so good compared to the crap we have in Canada and the US.
I do a lot of business travel in North America and do like going to the airport early, though I'll find a bar and have appetizers and drinks while I wait for my flight. I really enjoy chatting with people at the airport at bars.

I dunno, the Narita airport was pretty grim, particularly for a celiac. Though Japan in general is rather hostile for my diet!

Hard video and audio evidence holds the attending police officers to the law instead of inflection or interpretation of someone's behaviour. The cyclist changed his demeanour once he realized he was getting the ticket. The officers clearly stated they observed the video and that made it clear.
On a side note my wife was targeted by an old cyclist on Sunday in a 4 way stop with marked pedestrian crossings. The road was empty and this 60+ year old lady swerved towards my wife with the young baby on his carrier thing and she screamed obscenities and steered towards her and yelled I HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY... No. You have to stop at a 4 way and a Pedestrian has the right of way. Too bad this wasn't captured so we could identify this person.
