Saying there were very fine people on both sides when describing the Charlottesville rally is at least proof that he thinks white supremacists are very fine people.
I believe his talk of tens of millions of rapists, murderers and insane asylum South Americans is rallying racist xenophobes.

Trump - I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists — because they should be condemned totally.
If you want more info, this video describes the whole story pretty decently.
I want to take a second to address something in this thread that I think we've all missed.
To FireItUp and the MAGA/Trump supporters.
I want you to know that you're not alone.
If you were to see that Trump is human, is not infalable, that he is not perfect, and that maybe some of the things that you read, and see him do is accurate... then, and this is important... you won't be abandoned and alone.
While it may not feel like it here as you're screaming how great Trump is from the rooftops, but the posters here are, indeed, supportive.
You're not boxed in and hated forever.
This community WILL NOT abandon you if you change your mind on things, especially if done so after reviewing new evidence.
We, as a species, need to have community. If you've lost your previous friends and family because of being MAGA, I get the fear of not wanting to lose MAGA because then you'll have no one.
I assure you, that will not happen... not here.
I've been a member of this community for over 20 years.
We all don't agree on everything, and that's okay. Heck, there's a moderator who is a ***gasps*** Canucks fan. If we can accept a Canucks fan, and love and support them, accepting a Trump supporter who can admit he's not 100% perfect is a walk in the park.
I'm not saying you're wrong on everything. Just want you to know that it's OK to be wrong and disagree (see this thread on the Democrats and Isreal as proof).
We will not abandon you.

Not quite as bad as FireItUp’s child porn and incel channels but I mean, it’s not far off.

The United States will send an additional $3.5bn to Israel to spend on US-made weapons and military equipment, the Department of State has said, as the deadly war in Gaza continues into its 10th month and amid claims of widespread Israeli military abuses in the occupied Palestinian territory.
A State Department spokesperson said on Friday that the department had notified Congress on Thursday that the Biden administration intended to release billions of dollars worth of foreign military financing to Israel.

YouTube comments and a video unironically saying that he can't hate NeoNazi's because his son in law is Jewish is your retort?
We lived in the area at the time, had close family working in the downtown mall in Cville that day, and we all followed the events leading up to that day, during the day and after in real time.
The video describes the rally as a pro statue/anti statue rally where white supremacists showed up. That couldn't be further from the truth. This was a white supremacist rally and they chose Charlottesville as the site since they were removing a Robert E Lee statue. It's not even a very significant statue. It was a small statue off tucked behind the main streets.
Richard Spencer and David Duke were the primary organizers. These were the materials used to promote the event:
The people in the rally were all from out of town white supremacist groups. The protesters were mostly locals who didn't want these people in their city, and a handful of out of town groups.
Trump coming on and angrily calling out both sides and saying there are very fine people on both sides was despicable and he was unequivocally siding with the unite the Right groups. Groups that included the Nationalist Front, KKK, The Daily Stormer, The Right Stuff, Proud Boys, and on.
Yeah, he tried to backpedal a bit by saying he condemned Neo Nazis. But who were the very fine people in the Unite the Right rally?
