Haloti Ngata has been suspended the rest of the regular season (4 games) for taking Adderal. Big loss for Baltimore obviously.

Yeah, that's a massive loss in their front 7. He's one of the most versatile 3-4 line guys in the entire league. Will he be able to get an appeal in before their game against the Dolphins?

This was very hush hush because apparently the process has already completely played out. Nothing about an appeal but it appears it's either happened or he isn't going to.

Never change, Dan Snyder.

Less than a year after a showdown over Robert Griffin III, another appears to be brewing. Jay Gruden’s desire to part ways with the ineffective quarterback may put him at odds with owner Daniel Snyder and President and General Manager Bruce Allen, potentially leaving the Washington Redskins searching for a coach yet again.

Saints getting blown out at home again....by the Panthers. Unbelievable.

Miami/Baltimore and Pitt/Cincy are pretty good games though.

whoever is announcing the Pitt-Cincy game used 'future hall of famer' on Rothlisburger.

Is it just me or does that seem wrong?

Couple beer bottles getting whipped on field at the Superdome after that Stewart TD. This is ugly. I think the 2005 Saints would beat this year's team

Panthers have 440 yds offense...Saints 112...38-3.

Is the Brees era closing shut?

Nah I wouldn't go that far, just a disastrous year overall. He certainly doesn't look like 5 yrs ago, but is still on pace for over 5000yds and (was) 1st in completion %. It doesn't help when the receivers can't catch anything.

Just an unbelievable year, injuries everywhere, the DL has massively regressed, insane amount of drops...Brees has been extra "Favre'ish" this year, but this is a team-wide dumpster fire.

...and I've been pulling for the Panthers to hit 50 since it was 31-3. I'm weirdly amused by this.

After an anemic 1st quarter on offence the Ravens rally and have controlled the game in the 2nd half.

Dumervil with 3 sacks today and 16 on the year... he's been a beast!

Ravens, Steelers (and possibly the Browns if they don't blow it) all at 8-5... crazy times

Edit: the Browns blew it

How did Brees ever set records throwing all those years to Marques Colston? Probably the worst #1 receiver in the NFL. I can't remember the last time ive seen someone drop so many balls in a clutch situation.

That said, The Saints need an Oline to play effectively, more than most teams do. This Oline is poor and being pushed back forcing an already undersized Brees to make poor throws. He is getting alot of balls swatted and also some questionable decision making.

It's become pretty common knowledge that the Saints are planning on drafting their next QB this year in high rounds, looks like that pick may actually be quite high this year

too bad for the Browns, they played a better game than stats shows. Someone is going to be lucky to nab Brian Hoyer when Manziel gets forced in there

Ya that's something else I meant to add in my last post; the stunning regression of the OL, especially at OG, which has been the strength of the line since drafting Jahri Evans in 2006. Very concerning how much him & Grubbs have performed this year. Between that and the clearly past his prime C Jonathan Goodwin unable to stay on the field for any length of time, and promising 2nd year LT Terron Armstead constantly nicked up as well, Brees has been running for his life more than I've ever seen in his Saints career. Upgrading the line needs to be a high priority for the Saints this off-season.

Colston has regressed amazingly fast this season, seems age has finally caught up to him (9th season). He'd suffer from the occasional drop here & there, but was generally known to have hands like glue most of his career. It's unbelievable how he can't catch anything this year, and as my favourite Saint since his rookie year, it's depressing to see. Best WR in Saints history, but his career is clearly nearing its end.

So as someone who is still just learning the ins and outs of football, something that has bugged me: Is PI always so ridiculous? Has it always been called this way? An Eagles player just got called for being in the way. Like, Wilson throws it inside of the receiver, the Eagles player is between him and the ball and just doesn't let him come back and got called. What was he supposed to do? Let him come back, just stop running? I don't get it.
