The Flames did have cap space and could have signed Hamilton to 3x2 and no one would have offersheeted???

You realize that the players have to sign the contracts right? If Johnny Gaudreau signs a contract worth $3.25 million, he should fire his agent.

Hamilton is improving had an active stick. Boxing the slot out better. Making smarter passes. Give Hamilton a full year here and it will be noticeably different.

I shudder to think what it would be like if he reaches Brodie levels.

Hey hey whaddaya know, I'm actually starting to get excited about Hamilton again. More physical, more smart pinching into the offensive zone and his wrist shot is looking good.
Watching this guy, it seems like he might be on the verge of a big time breakout.

He's been good and getting betters since early November IMO. Since that time he's only had one game where he's been a minus player, 12 games, 4 points, +5 starting November 5th vs the Flyers.
Ice time has crept back up to over 20 minutes a night too. Brodie being hurt really threw him in too quick.

You mean after he had time to adjust to a new team, which happens to be only his 2nd team in his career, he looks good?
Un-possible!

Been Liking Hamilton's game alot more of late. He's starting to find his way with a new system , team and coach. I think Dougie gonna be just fine in the back half the season. Next year I am expecting the man to take a big step forward. This season so far been ugly , but we have alot to look forward to in positives for the future.

I think he might have the best wrist shot on the team, the closest competitors are Monahan and maybe Jones (for power, anyway). Even when he was playing badly, it was a positive aspect of his game.
