I was thinking about getting a Chara jersey for $80 but there is a chance that the stitching or twill isn't up to snuff.

When I first saw the deal, I immediately assumed they be fake/ china knockoff jerseys. However, it looks like they went out of their way to stipulate they're official licensed and authentic jerseys.

I could be wrong, but based on the limited selection available (no premium players like Crosby, Ovechkin, Stamkos, etc...) and how they mention they're official licensed and authentic jerseys 4 times in the ad, I'm leaning towards they're real.

Lockout effect? All it takes is 1 merchant trying to blowout inventory because of the lockout.

Worst case scenario is you can always contact TeamBuy after and get a refund if it turns out to be fake.

I agree with GFG, you can have legitimate jerseys and all but it could be ruined with bad stitching. I might bite the bullet on an uncrested one.

My experience with Teambuy hasn't been that it's easy to get a refund when one was warranted.

I'd be weary of Teambuy products. They actually sold knock-off toothbrush heads, and priced them about three times the price that you could buy them from eBay vendors.

If anyone does go through with it, I would be interested in hearing if they actually get a good product or not. I think the best case is that it is an official licenced product, but not the jersey you were expecting. (i.e. like the cheapo jerseys they sometimes sell at Canadian Tire)
