I’d be curious to know how often this year the oilers got a PP right after being scored on. Pretty random stat to figure out and I’m too lazy to attempt it. Just seems like all the time…

I hate to say it but every team needs a Perry. It should be part of the prescribed playbook to get a big guy who can get dirty goals in front of the net. Seems to be a lost art these days.

Somebody posted a full stat sheet on HF, and you are correct. Oilers have had 30% higher chance than their opponent of having a powerplay within 2 mins of being scored on.

That miss by Reinhart sums up everything about the Oilers the last 2 years. A 50 goal scorer with a tap in that gets flubbed. There is nothing but lucky charms, horseshoes, and good fortune shoved up their hairy asses.

So glad Kane was held out of the lineup all year for cap reasons, only to show up in the playoffs and continuously gift powerplays to the Panthers.
