It's commonly used in many computer games. You walk in a certain direction, and lock it in with the num lock key so you automatically keep going.

Bone conduction headphones work pretty well if you want/need to hear real world stuff around you. Unless they’re set too loud. Just don’t expect the sound to be as-good as over or in-ear… or apparantly an external speaker.

The last time I took a cart full of groceries through the manned checkout it took at least twice as long as I could do it myself at the self checkout.
If you’re struggling with your airmiles card, touch the screen before scanning your first item and it will prompt you for it, it’s been like that for quite a while unless you have newer terminals at your stores.

You should ask them to cut the lettuce (and your meat, you big baby) when you order.

When our kids were small, I had an epiphany for for a family restaurant where you could order your meals pre-cut into small, medium, or large pieces. The restaurant would be called "Bites", and would greatly improve the meal experience for young families.

I now bequeath this million dollar idea to the world.

I am thinking more along the lines of a Pizza place where you make your own pies.

Get the kids to pick out all the toppings and then hand them a huge shovel to put them into the ovens.

Its Gold I tell ya! Gold!

Probably just your fancy pants lake community restaurant serving a “deconstructed” Caesar

Deconstructed meals are just a gimmick to cover for an uninspired menu.

A traditional Caesar salad made table-side can have full Romaine leaves but otherwise it should be the kitchen's job to cut it.

It's a "wedge salad" - they're "in" right now

Personally I think they're only "in" right now as they save labour in not having to wash lettuce as much. Take a few outside leaves off, cut the stem off, quarter things, drizzle, and bam - $13.50 please.

The Safeway machines will prompt you when you're paying, no matter whether you'd been prompted while scanning items.

Well maybe, but I do love a good wedge salad, so I'm one of the suckers who buys that and keeps it on the menu for other people to loathe. My apologies!

At least you are doing your part to keep down the fruit fly population. It's crazy to see how many find their way into the first few layers of a head of lettuce.
