Agreed. That and Hufnagel came out and said that DeAngelis was gone and free to sign.
Maybe HAM had a longer term deal (haven't seen any details) then Calgary wanted to sign.
He has nowhere near the leg for the NFL and seems to be declining for a decent CFL leg.

Stamps offered more money then Hamilton so how is it about the money?

It sucks to see Sandro leaves but I guess he wanted to play at home. He is from Hamilton so that's fitting. I wish him the best.
For those people who speculates that it was about the money, a rift in the locker room and other negative stuff, give me a break. What's wrong with playing in front of your family? Hamilton was actually decent last season and he figured next to Calgary, Hamilton is the best option for him. There are times that family are most important than money.

Buddy of mine talked to Paul McCallum (sp?) and he may sign in Calgary. Depends on if the Stamps want to go with an unproven young guy or stick with a vet.
You heard it here first! (my first ever posting of insider info!)

Sandro has just signed with Hamilton, and I have known for a while that he would do that. I just didn't know if it was going to be Hamilton or Toronto, but knowing Sandro he chose the one that he thought would be better. He loves to win games, and up until the Grey Cup him and I were pretty cool with each other. Last year was different, everyone knows success brings change, but the degree of change always depends on the person. I wish him success where ever he goes, because he is still Automatic, and he is a great kicker.

Hmmm sounds like Sandro's ego got to big for the locker room.

And Swayze11, but you can throw feces on his lawn if he misses a FG and the Stamps lose!

McCalum(sp) would be a bad choice, Id rather bring in 10 new guys and have them dual it for 5 hours.
Sandro, wish him best. He does have an ego but anyone who says that owes the Stamps is wrong, you get your opportunities and you make them count and Sandro did that. Sandro worked pretty damn hard with getting his tapes out to every team in professional football after his Nebraska career and the Stamps gave him a chance and he rewarded them with all those good kicks.
In the end it was time for all to move on. Like it or not but we all get tired of the same culture some time. If it just becomes a job you have to go to get paid than its time to look elsewhere, not everyone has the choice but he did and hes moving on. Playing in front of family and friends.
Stamps will land someone, might not be as good but they will.

Hamilton just released Setta, didn't they? Must have been in preparation for Sandro...

No problem with McCallum, he had just as long a "Long" FG and better percentage then DeAngelis last year.
Not a ton of young kickers that can come into the league and kick right away so having a veteran and maybe keep a guy on the roster to have a mentor.

That dirty Former BC OL Jimenez just signed with Hamilton Tigercats. Ticats also released Goodspeed. Looks like the Ticats are very serious to contend this season while the Argonauts are getting strange. They released all 3 of the QBacking. Unless they have someone in mind to replace them. Is there any free agent QB in the West like BC or Calgary?

I heard Buck Pierce is on his way to Toronto.
There is tons of free agent QBs who can throw a ball, its just the ones that excel in the CFL that are kept. If you think of all the QBs that are getting cut from the NFL, those are the ones you have to really take a look at, every starting QB in the CFL at the moment is exactly that... an NFL cut.
Bishop just got released... maybe a 3rd times a charm in Toronto

I just heard a rumour that it is Jarious Jackson that might get traded to Toronto. Casey Printer is due to a hefty pay raise and I think they will keep him. Lulay is a cheap QB so he'll stay as a backup. So it is between Jackson and Pierce. UNfortunately for Buck Pierce, he is injury prone so I don't think Toronto will go after him. That leaves Jarious Jackson who's got a great arm and seems to play well against the Stamps might attract Toronto. As for Bishop, if the Argos pick him up, he'll be a backup.

Taman pulled off a shocker today. He traded SSK worst CDN WR in Adam Nicholson, third round pick, and a negotiation player for Prechae Rodriguez and .. What a steal for the Riders!
The Riders have also re-signed Marcus Adams.

I realize that there is nothing the Riders could do that wouldn't be a great move but how is that a steal?
It is a pretty nothing deal since American receivers with some skill and an ability to drop the ball a lot are not hard to get at all.
Pretty nothing for nothing deal.

I don't generally agree with you, but in the CFL the old rule is the team getting the Canadian player in the deal wins the trade.
Granted Rodriguez is a better receiver than Nicolson but still...nothing to celebrate about.
Oh and....13 men

Thats a really good trade for Sask. Depending on who the negotiation player is I suppose.
