And I am firmly in the camp that McNabb is damaged goods from here on in.
Too many serious injuries on an older body tends to = past his prime and likely a liability moving forward.

You could be right. I think this season will cement his legacy in Philly one way or another.

I think McNabb has recently migrated from slightly underrated, or at least under appreciated in Philly, to the broken down goods camp. Not many miles left on that one.

People were saying that about Brett Favre too. I'm not saying your wrong but McNabb looked really good towards the end of the season and the Eagles should have a pretty favorabl schedule that will help pad his stats next year.

Well one difference between them is that Brett Favre plays 16 games a year. McNabb, far more often than not has to shut it down in November. with Mcnabb, it's a given that you need a very capable backup because you'll need him to not only get into the playoffs but also run through the playoffs.
And not that Favre is terribly clutch, but you don't think of McNabb as the guy who can pull you through adversity.

The wildcard with McNabb is his knee injury. I think I said in another thread, it seems to take another year before players with reconstructed knees seem to get back into form. That would mean this upcoming season is the true test.

ZT was the best dolphin the last 5 years, he always gave it his all. It will be tough to see him playing anywhere else. But at least somebody is officially rebuilding the Fins.
Sad day in fin land, but a sign of new beginnings.

Looks like worse case sceanario for Fins fans could happen. Pats offer Thomas contract

I think he'd be a better fight in New Orleans than he would in NE or Dallas due to the fact the Saints play a 4-3 compared to a 3-4 in NE & Dal. But he's a Texas boy, and it sounds like he'd love to finish out his career back in his home state. And of course there's always the strong urge for these ringless, close to retiring superstars to take one last shot at a title, hence why he may end up with the Pats. Here's hopin he comes to the Big Easy...

Derek Smith of the 49ers was released today. Another aging LB for the Saints to bring in to maintain the Snow Patrol.

Just heard on Sportscenter that Zach Thomas' top two choices are between New Orleans and New England. I have a feeling he's gonna go to the Pats, but we'll see...

Great news in Indy. Colts place franchise tag on Clark which means he's pretty much retained for another year at $4.5 M. Colts also re-sign Ryan Lilja.

I have a feeling Zach would like to play for Dallas. Zach is a texas boy and my gut feeling is if he can't play on a winner in Miami, Dallas would be his first choice.
It would hurt for me to see him in NE.
With all the being said ESPN is reporting its between NE and the Saints. So who really knows.

The Saints have offered Zach Thomas a contract today, and according to Adam Schefter on NFL Total Access tonight, he says the Saints are the front-runners to grab him. God I hope so...

DeShaun Foster was released by the Panthers.
Jamal Lewis signed a 3 year contract with the Browns
Dallas Clark signed a 6 year deal with the Colts, ad gave starting guard Lilja a 5 year ontract.
And Haynesworth had the Franchise tag slapped on him.
Anyone know how the Franchise tag works with Clark? Now that he signed a long term contract, can the Colts withdraw it and get it back, or is it gone as soon as it was applied?

I really hope Indy re-signs UFA's Jake Scott and Josh Thomas. They are a big part of our team and I hope they get a deal done. On the RFA front Ben Utecht needs to be re-signed. Those 3 are the big pieces left to re-sign.
Also, NE apparently declined the option on Dante Stallworth making him a free agent.
