Oilers in seven. It’d be 6 is Zack was playing.

Panthers got this. They're a few tiers above the Coilers that's for sure. Plus the Grease is missing Hyman which is a big piece of their offence. Panthers are a much more complete team and it'll show once the games start.

I have a feeling that less than 3 minutes into game 1 refs will hand Oilers a PP, Panthers need to kill that off.

I have a feeling Marchand is going to be a huge difference maker in the Finals. Getting under the skin of the Oilers causing them to take stupid penalties.

I sure hope so. Along with Chucky and Bennett, the Panthers definitely have a few guys who can annoy the f*** out of the Oilers.

See, now is this level of realism so hard, fellas?
The terrible, treasonous posts being strewn around are exactly why there will be a WoS. We need to do better.

There are bounces, calls, ect. that determine a playoff series so nothing is a gurantee but I don't know how anyone can say the Oilers are improved and the Panthers aren't. Marchand and Jones are by far the two biggest additions to either team. Marchand would probably be the Oilers 3rd best forward.

That is if the refs will call penalty on them.

Disgusting how many Soiler fans come crawling out from under their rocks this time of year. It wouldn't bother me if this wasn't a "Flames" fan forum.

Contrary to popular belief the Stars won the expected goals battle in 4 of 5 games. (not my stats) Oilers aren't playing some amazing shut down hockey. Skinner was better that Jake shockingly and the Oilers got the bounces in the end.
I think most if not all will agree the Panthers are better than the Stars...Panthers need to finish at a higher rate than the Stars did.

The Canes are an elite defensive team and Florida converted pretty efficiently against them.
I'm not too concerned about offense but we'll see. A couple of good ones have disappeared against the Stink. I think it simply came down to a lack of driving the net (afraid to lose the puck and spring their cherry pickers the other way, perhaps?)

Stars weren't very high scoring in the playoffs before round 3...they got timely goals and big saves, until they didn't. Both Vegas and Dallas looked shakey against their other opponents but did pull it out when it mattered. I think its pretty safe to say the Panthers are better than those teams...how much better is the debate I suppose.

The Panthers have 9 forwards and 1 defenseman with over 11 points.
The Oilers have 5 forwards and 1 defenseman with over 11 points (Perry is 6th at 10), and one of them is injured for the final round.
The Panthers are a better team and just steam-rolled Carolina, a top defensive team in the league, by a combined total of 21-10.
Panthers in 5 or 6.

It disgusts me the Oilers are back. Vastly below average goaltending, below average defense, and below average depth up front. I come to question the league. How does this happen.
I support the Flames, but I also support the Kings. Hiller (Kings' coach) is who I blame for this Oilers back in the final scenario as the Kings exposed all of the above Olier weaknesses each of the first four games until they put the "prevent defense" into play. Anyone who's watched teams sports for three or more years knows that's how you lose. Major piss off.

After watching the Panthers for past 3 rounds, they have beaten their opponents at will, the only time their opponents have beaten them were they let up. Case in point, the last series, they let up and the Canes shut them out and when I thought, eff Cats, this series going 7 games, isn't it. Then boom, the next game, they played Panthers brand of hockey, and the Canes had no response. So, if the Panthers stick to their game plan and don't let up, they'll take this series in 6 or less.
