I also think people forgot that we threw in 18 year old Sam Bennett into the playoffs, and he was one of our best players. Give the kids a chance, I'm tired of rolling out some of these depth plugs instead lol.

The bolded is why you are frustrated. The team wasn't going to abandon playoff aspirations until they were done. No team would.
Sam was a blue chip prospect just like Zayne. Again - I'm not disagreeing that he should be in the line-up. I would be playing him.
But Suniev is not that.

The only reason we aren't swimming with the Sharks in the standings is Wolf.

40 point gap in the standings.
Wolf is good. But not THAT good.

Why don’t you apply to coach the team in the offseason? Make the required changes directly.

15-0. Run it up. Show no mercy.

Or, the Flames' equivalent of running up the score... 3-2.

7-5-2
He has on three occasions let in 4 goals in consecutive games (2 streaks of 2 and one streak of 3)
He has also won two games this year allowing 4 as well

To be fair he is 4 years older than Parekh and has been playing against men.
Parekh should still be in this team for his PP ability alone though. The Flames are being a bit too risk adverse for a team with less than 10% chance to make it. It’s a bit silly

Montreal, Minnesota and Carolina all share 1 thing in common, none of them have Dryden Hunt on contract.

Are we really saying that the beefy adonis looking Parekh can’t play against other NHLers because they are men? That’s nonsense. After 79 games, some of the players he’d be facing are decrepit and broken, running on fumes powered by sheer will and determination. Young men are meant to embarrass old ones, that’s the way it’s always been. Circle of life and all that.
I can buy the ‘pace is too fast’ argument and he needs time to learn how to think the game that fast. But the playing against men business is bunk IMO.

Only because Conny traded Markstrom. If he had traded Vladar instead, Wolf would have been lucky to start 20 games this season. It wouldn't even matter what Markstrom's stats would be. 0.863 SV% and he still would have started 60+ games.
First quarter of this season, how many times did we all sit here and watch Vladar get lit up and wonder when/if the team would stop forcing splits and just give Wolf the net? In fact there's probably 6 or 7 more points we could have had if Huska gave in earlier than he finally did.

I knew already in my heart that they wouldn't play Parekh tonight, yet I'm still disappointed that they stuck to their guns and aren't playing them when we could really use his talents on the PP and on transition.
I hope we win tonight and this is all moot, but this screams 'missed opportunity'

Or he could have pooped out sooner. He is not stealing as many games anymore. This is the first time he has played so many games at this level, and the stakes have ramped up a lot the last month. I think he needs a bit less work, not more.
Next year will be better now that he understands the workload and can prepare for it during the offseason.
