Who'll probably get traded in the off-season if he doesn't get his act together, lol. What a terrible year for him.

The players seem to like him. I doubt he survives long enough to coach this team when they're good but there is little doubt he's getting the most out of them.

There is lots of doubt he is getting the best out of them. They are underachieving in every metric but goaltending which has directly led to where they are in the standings.

It's so annoying as a Flames fan not to play Zayne and Suniev. I have watched him play, he has more talent in his pinker finger than Bean, sorry.
I like how there is this narrative that we have all these great players they cannot replace. Our team has almost no talent at all, why not just put him on the pp. Our players are mostly a bunch of scrubs and grinders lol.
If this is a Huska decision, I am going to turn on him quickly. He already employs such a boring system, he is lucky Wolf carried the team all year. They play hard for him, but that's all the credit he gets from me.

I hope Huska can move forward knowing random people on a msg board might not like him. Thoughts and prayers.

No he's not.
He's playing Bean over Parekh if you want a really simple statement. Miromanov is a place holder.

I don't care if they make mistakes, I want to see them play. Whoever is in charge of this decision is ridiculous. If it is Huska, just fire him too.
|
Jake Bean fumbles the puck a lot I agree.
But he's also 1st in xGA in the last 12 games (Flames run), and 2nd in xGF% in a sheltered role.
He hurts the transition, but he tends to keep the really bad things from happening.

Just win in regulation, I know the Flames have the ability to do so. It's funny how much of this sport comes down to two simple things: mistakes (preventing them/making them) and psychology.
Just mitigate mistakes, try to force some on the Wild and believe that they can beat them.
That is all, live to make games tomorrow matter and then aim for the Sharks one more time Sunday.

I think you'll need to show your work on that one based on this roster.

What's Wolf's record in games after games he lets in 4 or more?
I think he's going to be similar to Kipper in locking them down but yeah he might be a bit tired.

Do you not see the massive difference between a prospect like Suniev and one like Zayne.
Again I would play Zayne tonight.
I don't understand the push to play Suniev in the most important game of the season.

I have been pretty happy with Farabee and Frost. More production is needed, but I don’t think it has been an issue of trying or attitude. It seems to be a problem with the team in general save for a couple of players.

Huberdeau is the X factor for me tonight. Need him to step up offensively, create something every shift. He’s getting paid the big bucks, tonight would be a great time to lead the way.

I agree. What are we going to get out of Bean? Same thing we got all year, not much.
I get it that Parekh might get in and probably just fits in and does nothing too. He might make a mistake that costs us the game too. But what he might do is worth the risk.
Home game, big game, half the city begging for him to play. He comes in, creates, has a good game you don't think that will create a buzz in this city and for the team?
Odds of making the playoffs is close to 0, play the effing kid tonight and see what he can do.

I don't really see it as that important a game, maybe because I gave up on playoff hopes a while back. It's just a lot harder to come back down that many points than people make it out to be. It would be historical if this team came back from that many points back with almost no games left.
I also think people forgot that we threw in 18 year old Sam Bennett into the playoffs, and he was one of our best players. Give the kids a chance, I'm tired of rolling out some of these depth plugs instead lol.

Dinosaur mentality on the Flames. Afraid to play any talent and young players lol.
The only reason we aren't swimming with the Sharks in the standings is Wolf.

Just show up and win the game. No one cares about excuses at this point.
15-0. Run it up. Show no mercy.
