I notice I’m becoming less interested in watching the games. That the league doesn’t address its absolutely atrocious reffing (it does go both ways) is a huge part of that.
Calls like that one - simply CANNOT happen.

refs look for calls at certain times, doesn't matter if it's legit, they just pick something that could maybe look like an infraction

The league needs to address that BS. If they can review goaltending interference on a goal they should be able to review it on a penalty call. Absolute joke.

I actually thought at first Backlund drew a penalty and was confused about why they blew the whistle while the Flames still had possession. I thought maybe the Canuck player grabbed his jersey a bit.
