is easy to say...sure we could trade Gaudreau and Monahan for a 5th if we are just going to ignore the reality that a GM isn't going to hurt his 1st place team intentionally.

Realistically how do you move Monahan this season and improve the team though.


Besides like I said paying someone to take him isn't "cutting him loose" which was the original discussion. In the NHL with guaranteed contracts you can't cut players loose

If this team loses to Ottawa , I would be very concerned about the rest of the season
Two back to back losses to two bad teams . And they were outplayed in both games. The six game winning streak was an anomaly. They are who we thought they were !

everyone knows Monahan is overpaid and not long for the team beyond this season. Its almost impossible to move on from him while improving the team right now though. Maybe put your hearing aids in and listen instead of saying the same things over and over.
