There's this to consider. Guy Gaudreau coached Deangelo in minor hockey.
Maybe Guy and Johnny are vouching for the kid?

but to the The Boy Wonder's point, its a free world, he can like whatever he wants on social media and have an opinion... its more of him being a fit in the locker room, causing issues, keeping his opinions more to himself...
If all that works, why not? We are acquiring a hockey player to help our mediocre hockey team, not hiring a politician.
That's not even remotely true at all. Social media are all privately owned companies. Your not aloud to say anything the #### you want. It's the same as running into a private store and yelling something like " Jews are the devil" etc etc. That store has all rights to kick you out. That's private property. That's how social media works that's private " virtual land". Now if he want's to scream that on his owned private land than he has a case. Once off your own land you have #### to fall back on as a defense.
How the ####ndo people not understand how the internet works still? It's all privately owned . Private companies can restrict you any way that they see fit. I can't share illegal streams on Cp because the site seems it against community guide lines. That's how the internet works.
Every one always tries to say the internet is a right now not a privilege. It's not . It's a luxury and you can't complain what is restricted on private sites you don't own.

All i'm saying is, if the Flames acquire him, you have to think they talked to Johnny, Buddy and Guy about it. And if they pass, it's probably because they talked to those 3 about him.

Character issues and drama aside, is the D where we should be adding?
The forward group is brutally thin on the wing as it is.
You must be new here. This is the Calgary Flames we’re talking about, where the forwards don’t matter and the defence is never quite as good as they’re paid for.

Ok. So who did the Flames talk to about what Peters said in the Aliu situation?
This is, after all, a guy who was all good, based on their first hand experience... until...

Well in this situation, it’s kind of the opposite. It’s more of a “hey, is this guy as bad as the rumours say?”
Im not saying I’m for the acquisition. I’m just trying to understand why there is even the smoke when the logical thing to do is to say “pass”.
With regards to Peters, I think it’s pretty much accepted that Tre was in love and only had eyes for him after their brief relationship at the Worlds. He clearly didn’t do his due diligence.

Got it. I think Brooks is trying to get looks. And I would be really surprised to see anything happen.
And I admire the effort to try to figure out a situation that may make sense in terms of satisfactory diligence, but I don’t see it
Should something happen, it would expose a very interesting blind spot that Tre should be smart enough to identify and not be exposed by

Not that it changes anything as I do not want this clown on the Flames, but I had no idea that he fights as often as he does. Likely because he's such a punk, but at least he will drop the gloves.

While that is true, for now. I'll ask you this though: Can the phone company restrict what you say on their phone lines? Should they be able to? Is using a phone a privilege not a right? These private sites are becoming a battleground for free speech. Who gets to decide what hate speech is? It is all very complex.
Also, private companies can't restrict you any way they see fit. A grocery store can't deny service to a specific ethnicity... But I digress, DeAngelo is a POS and I don't want him on the Flames.
So would the deal be Deangelo(2.25M retained) for Bennett?
Flames stay cap neutral and then play their prized young D of the future with this D bag on the third pair? While the Flames would have a stacked blueline the forwards would be looking mighty thin and there is the backlash of trading a guy who by all accounts is a beloved teammate for a guy who just got in a fight with a teammate and the organization clearly took the side of the other player
