It’s hard not to be impressed with the Flames and Smith.

Smith was lost but they worked with him, and inch by inch he’s been building his game back up. What a marvellous game by #41 and he’s putting together a damn fine stretch of games.

Solid game by the Flames and Neal continues to improve and impress me.

Winner on Saturday takes 1st in the conference.

Ain’t that somethin’

Not nearly enough love for Smith's night on here IMO.. The guy's come back from rock bottom and was a leader in every sense of the word tonight.

I'll be the first to say that when he was shaky early in the season, it was easy to see a soft goal coming. Having said that, tonight you could just see how dialed in he was. Getting a couple of dumps on the pk; cutting off Parise and checking him into the boards.

All that and the intangibles of what looked like taking Rittich under his wing the other night and making sure that he shook off the bad period against the Jackets. Great stuff to see out of him since he'll be sharing the cage for the rest of the year.

I wouldn't say comfortably, since the stupid Ducks keep winning. But they're definitely in good shape, and easily one of the better teams in the league right now. Feels like we can beat anybody at this point.

Disagree, a shutout is a shutout is a shutout. Don't grade the shutout.

He got up quickly and didn’t look shaky. Obviously went to the room but hard to tell if that’s the spotters call or his

He got up quickly, then went straight off. Looked shaken up for sure.

I dissagree, we’ve actually seen Gio do that a lot over the years. I agree with EE I don’t think it’s malicious but he can’t keep kneeing people reactively when they get by him.

It was in the last minute of the game and he headed straight to the room. One good sign is that he left under his own power.
