I think they mentioned during the broadcast that a goalie (from the UofC or something??) was in the building and getting dressed. Ramo must have been brutally sick.

He was suppose to untill Hudler was sent home sick. Hudler wss seen leaving the Dome before the puck drop. Apparently he was that sick.

Ramo was dressed but in the dressing room. They jad Luke Seimens from Calgary University goalie start to suit up around 5 mins into the game. Officially tho Ramo was the backup had the need arise.

I swear Stienberg is just sick of hosting overtime. If thats the case then he needs to man up and say I'm done with this program. I get he is probably trying to squeeze every sollar he can untill he is asked to leave yhat show but man up and say you can't hqndle it anymore.

In Pat's defence some of the drunk people that call in are unbearable. A lot of negative people call to vent and a lot of them just rant and ramble and don't let Pat get a word in. I always try to stay positive when I call. He's never once been rude to me. I say my thing, I let him say his thing, and we have an actual discussion rather than an "I'm drunk and now I'm going to ramble on nonsensically and if you disagree I don't care" type of call that happens all to often.

Also Backlund was weak on faceoffs again tonight at 36%. By contrast Monahan was 58% and Granlund was 50%. Stajan was also awful in the dot tonight at only 33%.

Another good game from Granlund. Colborne was great.
4 game point streak for Hamilton.
Monahan is all the way back, after a slow start to the season.
Giordano isn't all the way back yet, but he's getting there

What gives me hope for playoffs is the key guys are stepping up. Monahan playing great, Johnny, Brodie, Bennett, and finally Gio and Hamilton coming around.

The team is playing so much better at even strength in the past 4 games but I just can't understand why the PP and PK suck so much. We're sitting at 70.2% PK and 12.0% PP which are both 30th in the league by a large margin

Hamilton, besides some lazy icings, has been great of late! Like others have said, many of our key guys are performing well. It'll be interesting to see if they can parlay this momentum into some success away from the dome.

Unfortunately Stajan plays every night. Look for the guy with the burn on his face from our goal light always going off when he's on the ice...
Honestly whenever I see a 2-1 or a break for us and I notice that Stajan is part of it I instantly know that we not going to score. Chances die on Stajans stick. The sooner we find his replacement the sooner we are on our way to being a solid contender.

Pretty harsh there bud, Stajan is a -2 on a -26 team. When you look at notables you might be a fan of(doubtful) he's been better than Backlund(-5) Jones(-5) and Hudler(-8)
Do you smoke?

The Flames said Ramo was in the dressing room and was available to back up if needed.
The U of A goalie - unless there was a second clarification that I missed - was an error by Roger Millions. Roger mentioned the team had the U of A guy in town at practice in the afternoon, and he assumed then that the Flames might have brought him back in to back-up in the evening. Millions later tweeted that he erred, and that the player was already heading back to Edmonton for some exams.

I missed most of the game, is there a video somewhere of the hit on Frolik?

Well, we made a game of it in the third period! Ristolainen is the real deal on the back end there. Gaudreau, amazing as usual. Had a lot of fun -- first time I've seen a Sabres hat trick live too!

The guy has 4 points in 30 games. Yes he plays the "shut down" role but the Flames have the highest GAA in the league. No points. No shut down. 3.5 Million a year. Ya, I guess pass the crack pipe for me to want this guy on the team ...

Chapeau to the Flames, I played 2 games in a day during a minor hockey week tourney with the flu years ago, puked between periods, drank some more Gatorade, repeat. I think I lost 15 lbs, felt like ####. didn't want to be out of the lineup. Doing that in the pros? Incredible.
Nice win!!
