Hate to break it to you but our inept front office has essentially forced Hartley to ice a lineup with no more then two centers all year.....where the Flames are at right now should be a surprise to no one with the group of players the Flames started the season with. At least it seems like they've finally realized the obvious.

As far as I'm concerned all Ken King and his cronies have done right the last 4-5 seasons is what they're doing right now.

I got no problems with this line up. It's a meaningless game for sure, but for the guys that just got called up, this means the world to them. I hope they'll light it up tonight.

Also, not a bad chance to see how Hudler plays as a leader. He'll be here for 3 more years, so it'll be neat to see some of the leadership skills he can bring to the table.

Carter Bancks has no front teeth and is an absolute heart and soul player. He's small and, not to be mean, but he's not that close to having NHL-level attributes. Except for his sheer inability to quit on his team. If the Flames had half a dozen guys with Bancks' heart, they'd win every game.

Looking at the rulebook, it doesn't appear that there is any minimum on the number of captains dressed. There is a maximum.

I find it hard not to cheer for this current group, given hey are proverbial underdogs. Even though winning this game is actually a detriment to the team, I hope our farm team takes it to the Preds, and puts one in the win column.
