Just trying to find a similar bundle or any sort of bundle and seeing what I can try to negotiate with Shaw CSR's.
Thanks.

I was on the same promo (ending end Oct) I'm having the Gateway system installed this Sunday on the following deal
3 year $99 includes:Gateway system and 2 Portals = $85 for the Gateway Promo and $15 for the payment of the hardware.
Phone
50 mb internet
Shaw personalizer + HD PLUS (Basically all HD channels including timeshift except Oasis and HD Net)
This is the plan I was given and having installed. Pretty sweet for 3 years

I don't understand how people can get such good deals. The CSR I talked to said there were no deals, and basically told me it's up to me if I want to cancel the service. I must be doing something wrong...

Do you have to add on Sports for TSN/Sportsnet West/One?

I didn't have to add anything extra (so they said). I'll post more after the install is complete. They said as I'm getting te personalized+hd I will get everything I have now with the exception of HDNet and Oasis
Keep in mind I was told 3 or 4 times that there was nothing they could do for me either. I may have gotten lucky. I asked one last time when I called to find out how much my bill would be if I deleted a bunch of stuff like the PVR rental HBO and things like that. I was all set to move to Telus but they didn't have a port available in my neighborhood for me anyway

I only have to add sports if I want the sports 2 package with the fight network. The sports 1 package with West, one(Flames), TSN $TSN 2 and Score are included

I don't believe so since it comes with 35 HD channels. I can not see them having 35 without including the sports

Anyone here ever work (or know anyone) whos worked for shaw? I cant believe its that bad but after reading all those reviews wow.

I searched Telus and there are plenty of negative reviews for them too saying very similar things. Not too surprising really since people usually only go to these sites to rant. I looked up my employer and it's the same thing. (though I noticed most of the complainers are from the US, which is telling)

Had an appointment with a shaw tech to come out today between 8 and 10 AM.
It's now 10:30, no call, no tech.

Not sure if this is 100% customer service related, but I do have one more new beef with Shaw. Anyone use their Shaw Secure anti virus product for internet?
We they just updated it to McAfee, and it's no longer free. They now give you a six month trial and want $60 a year to keep it.
After my bill and internet rates get jacked up, you now want another $60 from me for something that used to be free?
Wow man, the Shaw that we once knew has been replaced with a nickel and dime mega corp in every bad way possible...
EDIT: Check out how much it is to get this product right from McAfee, $15! Garbage!

Well, I finally got in touch with Shaw. They said the tech will call me within a half hour to let me know when he will be coming by. If he doesn't call within a half hour I am supposed to call them back. Ridiculous, there goes my Saturday. Hurry up Shaw, I have #### to do.

Called them back at 12:15 and got the same response. "We sent a message to the technician and he will call you within half an hour to confirm the time that he will stop by." It's now 2:00, still no phone call and no technician.

Finally at around 3:05 Shaw called me back. They said there was a "routing problem" and they would like to reschedule. Next available time, next Saturday at 3 pm.
Cutting it awfully close to the start of hockey season...

I just don't like that prices increase and CS/service gets major reductions.

Has anyone else been having problems with their shaw internet randomly deciding to cut out for days at a time? In the last 2 weeks, the internet at the house has been out for 5 days. It went out the first time, and was down for 2 days. We called shaw, and they could do nothing over the phone, and the soonest they could get a tech out here was 3 weeks. We asked them if there was any way to get a tech out here faster, or were we really going to be without internet for 3 weeks. We were told to just hope it turns back on.
Amusingly enough, it did. Then a couple days later, it drops off again. Again we call. Again we are told to hope it just comes back on by itself while we wait for a tech.
This is pretty f'ed up. After years of stable, no issue use, the service suddenly becomes that wonky?

I'm having similar issues. I'm losing my Shaw Internet at random times lately. I got called out at 2am a couple of nights ago and had to call my backup to look at it because I had no Internet. In the morning all was fine.

For some reason I can't log onto the online VOD section and listen to galaxy channels.
Says I am not a digital cable subscriber, even though I am.
