There's no way the GOP would even consider that. The MAGA cult worships Trump like a god. If he dropped out, the cult would just stay home and not bother to vote. Republicans are stuck with him whether they like it or not, which will hopefully cost them in November. Seems like every time Trump opens his mouth lately, he just sinks their campaign even further.
Dems need to play it smart and just let Trump continue to hang himself with his bats*** insane comments.

Wasn't it Trump that vastly outperformed the polls in 2016 and 2020? Plus it's not enough that the dems have more votes, they need enough in the right states and enough in those states to counteract the GOP cheating that's sure to occur

the GOP doesn't need to replace Trump, in fact they probably want him to lose and lose badly, they may not agree with Democrat policies but they aren't frightened of them, if Harris wins nothing much changes and it likely neuters Trump
Frankly if it had been anyone else but Trump the Dems would have left Biden in and taken the loss relatively happily, Biden got pushed out because the extensional threat a Trump win presents

In 2016 people still had some shame when it comes to Trump...I think this time the dems with outperform their polling in 2024. Also "vastly" is a stretch it was still within the margin of error.
I realize how the electoral college works

Yep I think deep down many of them want Trump to lose so they can regain control of the party. To suggest it would be political suicide though.

That’s not a Rasmussen poll. It’s RMG research, and they’re not very established.

Kamala should not accept Trump’s conditions for a debate. No Fox News, no live audience, no panel of his choosing. Want to debate her? Bring it on with the usual format. The moderator should be able to cut off mics when someone goes over time or screams at his 😂 opponent. She’ll bury you, which won’t be hard as you tend to dig yourself deeper. I’d love Daniel Dale to live fact check Trump’s lies.

it's hilarious how he wants to frame this. "I'm ready to debate her! But on a different network, under different rules, with the moderators I like and my braindead zombies in the audience. Come on, Kamala!"
what a loser.

You have to remember that this is a man who doesn't care about anything but himself and certainly not democracy. With some of the crazy stuff he says and the actions he takes I think he wants to lose the election so he can try and claim it was stolen and try and take over the country that way just to feed his narcissistic ego. He wants to be a dictator and dictators tend to use force to gain power.

Looks like things are gonna get really messy if Trump loses in November. As per usual, the GOP are planning to cause total chaos in several swing states.
https://www.rollingstone.com/politic...rs-1235069692/
Quote:
In the swing states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania, Rolling Stone and American Doom identified nearly 70 pro-Trump election conspiracists currently working as county election officials who have questioned the validity of elections or delayed or refused to certify results.
At least 20 of these county election officials have refused or delayed certification in recent years.
Certification of election results is what legal experts consider a “ministerial task,” and one required by state and local law. But as Trump’s lies about the 2020 election have taken hold, Republicans nationwide have decided that certification provides them an opportunity to hear fraud allegations — and refuse to officially count their local votes.
|
Quote:
“I think we are going to see mass refusals to certify the election” in November, says Democratic election lawyer Marc Elias. “Everything we are seeing about this election is that the other side is more organized, more ruthless, and more prepared.”
While refusals and delays of certification have not held up in court, in Georgia and Arizona, pro-Trump local election officials are seeking to make certification discretionary — lawsuits that are currently being decided by state judges — in order to give his campaign another method to challenge election results in November.
|
Quote:
With an army of Republican lawyers and state lawmakers crafting voter suppression rules and laws across the country, pro-Trump Republicans can also count as allies some of the thousands of men and women currently serving as local election officials.
Most of these officials carry out their duties with little to no fanfare. It’s only since 2020 that the routine, often boring, work of administering local elections has become the target of robust right-wing electioneering, with efforts to place pro-Trump zealots on election boards who are increasingly refusing to certify results in pursuit of bogus fraud allegations.

Biden has been a very effective president but I have a feeling Kamala will be a damn fine president, too. What is it, 95 days now (fingers crossed)?

I mean, where do you start when people seriously believe ludicrous lies like newborn babies being "aborted" after birth? Completely detached from reality and you have despicable people like Rupert Murdoch to thank for that.
