That describes one poster in particular to a damn tee.

Aside from the true wingnuts like Hackey I don't really think there are any regular posters in here who would vote Trump before Sanders. I'm not sure I can think of anyone here who wouldn't vote for a concussed bison before Trump.

In terms of the economy, the best scenario for Harris would be the fundamentals remaining strong so she could stress that and argue that wages and inflation would continue to improve. But if people already hate the economy and then things like unemployment, economic growth, and the stock market support that narrative, then it's a harder case to make.

All that said, it's totally possible that conditions don't get too bad and then people see lowering inflation and interest rate cuts and their opinion of the economy actually improves. Hopefully that's what happens.
I think the stock market declining (from current high valuation levels) is a risk from a narrative point of view for Harris. If we get a big bear market in October, you'll get clickbait scare headlines all over the place. If people start seeing "biggest drop since Covid as economy dives", that absolutely plays into perceptions that they've mismanaged the economy.

Lol, Kyle Rittenhouse said he's not voting for Trump and MAGA turned on him, hard. 24 hours later he's saying he's rethought his position and is supporting Trump.

Not sure what he was expecting to happen.. did he think he was going to lead a great shifting of MAGA opinion?? Now he knows his place in the MAGA influencer hierarchy.

I don't think nearly enough people are discussing what a potential Trump re-election could mean for the future of NATO. We already know that Putin views Trump as a means to sow discord among NATO members and possibly fracture the alliance.

If Trump wins the election, at a minimum we will probably see Turkey leave NATO because of what JD Vance did to the Ottomans.

Trump said he wouldn't debate her at the time because she hadn't won the Presidential nomination. Now he has no excuse.

I wonder if they are trying to convince Trump to let somebody else take his place like Biden.
