We are going to head out and take a look from up above the ridge over the that mini golf course/driving range/9 hole par three by glenmore and deerfoot. I'll post pics when I get back. Maybe we can see the sewage plant as well and will post pics if we can.

I don't see that happening, but we might lose some events like the bigger concerts part of the midway some other events.
But there's no way that this city is going to allow something that generates that much money to the city to not happen.

There will be no rescheduling or cancellation. A form of the stampede will go forward at the usual time.

· BREAKING NEWS: Very important flood update from the City of Medicine Hat. Please read this and share for residents in and around the City.
--------
The Emergency Operations Centre has been activated as the City of Medicine Hat prepares for record flood levels. Alberta Environment has advised of this morning that the expected flow of the South Saskatchewan River will reach 6,000 cubic meters pe...r second by 6 p.m. Saturday June 22, 2013. This is 600 c/m/s higher than 1995.
Protection of life and the safety of residents is the number one priority. A Local State of Emergency will be declared as of 1 p.m. today.
There will be flooding in low lying areas, road closures will occur and a strong possibility exists for water flowing over some bridges. Details of affected areas will be provided as soon as possible.
Sandbags and tiger dams are currently being strategically located by city crews who are preparing for this event and focusing on protecting critical infrastructure.
Evacuations and Reception Centres will be established at some point today. Notification to the public will be provided. The Flood information line 403-502-8900 will be active by noon.
Already there has been an outpouring of support from the community to assist. A volunteer coordination centre will be established shortly and information will be provided. A phone number will be established by noon today.

Temporary drop-in centre at 4804 Edmonton Trail NE no longer needs volunteers according to CTV, but is still in need of supplies such as food, toothpaste, toothbrushes, socks, and underwear. They do not have a kitchen so the food needs to be items that can be eaten as is.
